If i apply inland for her, because shes on a visit visa, which means she cant stay here more than 6 months without an extension, while the sponsorship is being processed, is she allowed to leave and come back? because when i looked up processing times for inland, it said 26 months.canadianwoman said:

It's $255 but it gives her implied status from the date CIC's mailroom receives the application, and will typically allow the applicant to stay for 2 years (or to the end of the passport's life minus 1 month). No the OWP is tied to the inland sponsorship application. Processing times have dramatically decreased lately. If the current trend continues, cases from March will have PR before Christmas. The average over the last year is currently 22 months. Yes the expectation is she remains in Canada. Short exits are tolerated. But you run the risk of CBSA denying re-entry. If that happens, that could lead to her PR application being deemed abandoned and therefore cancelled.bacidash said:
