Hi

I was previously on visitor visa then I applied for inland PR sponsorship and along with that applied for open work permit. Can I apply for my parents visitor visa to visit me during Christmas . I was missing them and as I am on inland PR sponsorship application, I can’t travel much until a decision has been made on my file. My medical exam is done.
Is there good chances to get my parents visitor visa or any one of them also if can come during Christmas. I have been in canada for over 6 months now.

Thank you kindly

Your parents are the ones who apply (not you). In terms of whether their chances are good, it will depend on their profiles. They want to generally show strong ties to their home country (employment, property ownership) and show they have enough funds to pay for their trip. It will also help if they have previous travel to countries requiring visas.

Where are they from? They are likely very short on time to get a TRV approved in time to visit for Christmas.

Thank you for your kind reply.
They are from India. I was thinking to act as their family representative and apply application on their behalf and send them an invitations letter.
They have $12000 cad in their bank accounts and property In their name.
My father also receive monthly pension from government of India as he was in Indian army but retired now.
My niece, 2 brothers, sister-in-law stay with our parents. I was thinking if only my dad could visit us.
What that be feasible and also my husband is PR and i am living with him in canada since May 2022.
Or
should my husband act as their family representative or kindly suggest ways to have higher success rate for their application.

now I am mostly thinking of my dad’s application as my sister-in-law works and my mother support her in talking care of my niece.

I have seen some posts in the forum where family represtatives (son or daughter) have uploaded their bank statements and past 2-3 months paystubs as a secondary financial information. I am not currently working, can I attach my husbands paystubs and bank statements along with my parents (financials asserts, property, pension documents, bank statements).

Sure, you can do this. Suggest you spend some time reading through the Visitors section of the forum to understand more about how to put together a strong application. Good luck.
