Can I apply for Canadian PR without my wife initially?

I wish to apply for Canadian PR initially without my wife as she is not having a pass-port as yet. Is it possible, that I can apply alone?

You must include your wife in the application - even if she is not planning on coming to Canada with you immediately. You must also include a copy of her passport when you apply. So you will have to wait until your wife has a passport before you can submit your application.

Sorry but what is the urgency to apply? Her passport can be made in a months time max.
