Applying under FSW Vs. Spousal Sponsorship

Hi, my wife wants to apply for a PR under the FSW Program, however, I already have a Canadian PR. Can my wife still apply for a PR as a separate applicant under FSW? Also, if her application is rejected, will I be able to sponsor her PR later? If she goes to Canada on a student visa initially, can she apply for a PR while she is studying on the student visa?

She can apply under the FSW as long as she's eligible, it doesn't matter if she's studying, as long as she meets the eligibility criteria she can submit her profile.
