Can I apply for a Bridge Work Permit while a judicial review is in progress?

Hello,

I received two emails from cic - One on 16th April stating they are going to be in touch with the medical branch and another one exactly 1 week later on 23rd April stating the application is refused due to lack of compliance with my medicals in time. I have proof that I have undergone the medicals on time and that the NHQ has received the medicals and they consider it completed. I have sent a detailed email requesting that the decision be reverted.

More details available in my earlier post:
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/refused-claiming-no-communication-on-emedical-t198972.15.html

Given the rejection email I cannot apply for my bridge work permit. I have a valid Work Permit ONLY till End of July (I am completing 5 years).

I am positive that they would reopen the case, however in the event they do NOT reopen the case I am prepared to file for a judicial review.

The questions I have to my fellow blogger friends are:
1) How much time does it generally take for a CIC refusal to be reverted - does anyone had a positive experience?
2) In the case that I file for a judicial review - can I go ahead and apply for a Bridge Work Permit?

Thanks in advance for any/all responses!!

1. No, as your application has been refused you are not eligible for BOWP.
2. If you apply for leave to appeal to the Federal Court and it is accepted, about 1 year for your case to be heard.

I understand how you fill, this is really unfair decision from CIC, but I think you should consider re-applying. It would be cheaper, faster and if you apply now, you have enough time to receive aor and to apply for BOWP.
Be noticed - or would not be easy to force CIC to change their decision. My application was also refused. I sent 4 emails to CIC and did not receive any response. Although I heard about some rare cases when CIC reconsidered refusal.

Sorry to hear that... But THE BEST option is...

Apply PR again, you will get your AOR within 20 days then apply for BOWP ...

Met MP's office and they say a final decision is not been made on my case even though their web site says "Decision Made".

Looks like they are reviewing my file at this time... and the file has a follow up date on 24th May 2014.

I have applied for BOWP and hope to get a response soon!!

The BOWP is filed using myCIC and I am getting emails stating there is an update that I should be able to see the updates in the myCIC site!!

However when I checkout my status there is NO update in myCIC website.

Any clues what could be happening?
