1) Graduate from your two year course
2) Complete a minimum of one full year of full time work experience in Canada in a skilled position.
3) Apply for PR through the Canadian Experience Class program

No - it's not necessarily easy to obtain PR. You must find a full time skilled job. This isn't always easy to do.

Before you can become a citizen you must first become a PR. To qualify to apply for citizenship you must live in Canada three out of the last four years - and two of those years must be after you become a PR.

The difference between PR and citizenship is that to maintain your PR status, you must live in Canada two out of every five rolling years. With citizenship - you can leave Canada for as long as you want to and always have the right to return. You can also vote as a citizen.

First get PR, then think about all of the services and privileges by Canadian government to its citizens. Getting a PR, Is not a piece of cake. Job market is very competitive in Canada. there are many other highly qualified candidates already available for a single job.

Canada will give you many services and resources, but will ask for many hours of job, and services from you as well.

My cousin who has got a point based Canadian citizenship....was a mechanical engineer with 8+ years working experience back in Pakistan. Last time I heard from him ...was 4 years ago and he was working at a gas station in Montreal. He did not even go there on a student permit. Same with his elder brother....arrived later in Canada with the same profile....working as a construction worker...
I believe the missing part that they have is they do not have a canadian education.......so grass is not necessarily always greener on the other side.

Yeah, That's what I am trying to say. I agree, that It is easier to get job after getting education from Canadian institution , but even then competition is really tough.

Yes - Canada provides a pension. You may qualify for a pension after you become a PR (you have to fulfill certain criteria).

Canada has an aging population and this is taking a toll on pension funds. For this reason you should assume that by the time you retire, the pension payouts being given will be extremely small. Do not make the mistake of relying on government pension funds to support you in your retirement. You need to invest your own money if you want to have enough funds to live a decent life in retirement.
