Ariell,

I hate to say it but, I think, actually I KNOW the mail in India is better than the mail in Libnan and Egypt...actually even in India when you send stuff to Canada from India there is a joint contract with Canada Post, and it can even be tracked with Canada Post FROM India...that's how good it is... Thus, of course the mail would go to your hubby and of course it would reach its destination...but it's a sad gamble in the M.E. cities [some] and thus why they favor e-mail.

[I am not commenting on where the mails go vis-a-vis, to the applicant or the representative AS I don't have personal experience there, and have chosen another way, and perhaps different visa offices do things differently.]
Rasha, I think you misunderstood. I was commenting on fairouzm's comment that if you appoint yourself as your spouse's representative, that all correspondence will be sent to the sponsor in Canada. This was not the case for us. My husband's PR application was processed in New Delhi. All of the letters sent to him originated from tne New Delhi High Commission. They were NOT sent from Canada. So yes, of course there was no issue with the mail as the documents were mailed IN INDIA to someone living IN INDIA. It had absolutely nothing to do with Canada Post so there would be no reason for Canada Post to be tracking anything. I don't see how it's relevant to compare the mail systems in India vs. Lebanon or wherever when that wasn't what was asked or what I was implying.

Ariell,

chill out and stop attacking every frickin' thing GEEEEZ....

I KNOW what you were saying.. my comment was that mail going within the country vis-a-vis Lebanon and Egypt is LESSS reliable than that in India. I used the example of Canada Post to illustrate that not ONLY within the country are they more reliable but that they have their *censored word* together enough that Canada Post would even consider doing business with them!

I further commented that I was not commenting on what the process ACTUALLY is, as I had no experience in that. BUT I do have personal experience with the mail in both Lebanon and Egypt, and that was what my comment was on..please RE-read my comment...

thanks
LOL. Wow, how exactly do you figure that I was "attacking" you?? Sorry you saw it as that. I understood your point. My point is that the mail system in Lebanon or Egypt is still irrelevant to the question that was asked.

..... Does that make it any clearer for you...I can draw a map too... j/k =)
No need to be so rude. Feel better now? Perhaps it's you that needs to chill out. Sorry but your comments about the mail system were irrelevant. I've got nothing further to add.

Marlena,

Hope you got your question regarding whether you as the sponsor can be the representative :)...as that WAS your original question... the mail discussions were all irrelevant and off topic, but hopefully equally enlightening. [wa ba3den ma3ke enti ;)]

Ok Ariell,

Ur case means that the New Delhi office made a mistake because they were suppose to send stuff to u as the representitve not to ur spouse.

What I meant is that it takes long to mail from abu-dhabi to canada ... I didn't say that my sister got mail from canada... it wouldn't take a month if it was from Canada... but it took almost a month from abu-dhabi to canada....

yah i am with rasha...

I would wait 2 months... and then ask for caips.. because i heard back from them within two months requisting new documents.. then i learned form my MP that I was already approved... so this will give u some info on where ur file is going. I wished that I had requested caips but I was about to... i had my hubby sign the paper for me and i was about to mail it.

Wow sorry for making trouble!!!!
Rasha yes you are right and thanks for your advise, l am not appointing myself. I will order CAIPS In July and take it from there. I read some threads regarding the details on CAIPS. It's very easy process but the only thing I have to make sure not to order CAIPS too late because I have to keep in mind I'm leaving for 6 weeks starting September 15. I think it takes approximately 5 to 6 weeks before receiving them. Right!!!

Marlena,

you didn't make any trouble! Ya3ney, mish mohim. بعض الناس يشعرون انهم بحاجة لهما مدرب كبير anyway...you are right about the time delays....so maybe late june at the lastest....what is two months from your AOR? I think you were in May sometime..so really, to start late june/early july is good. Can you have someoen to check ur mail and scan it for you if you are already to Lebanon before it arrives?

I have 4 sisters older than me :0). I'm sure they will keep an eye on everything while I'm gone.
You still able to write and read Arabic!!! That's awsome... I should practice before I go to Lebanon since my husband speaks 100% in arabic.
AOR dated April 24 so I'll start counting from that date right?
What about you I see AOR in process but anything received???

I'm sure you are going to hear something very soon. Nchalla gheir!!!
Think about it this way I believe the way you prepared your application is so perfect which I'm sure they are making extra copies to use it as a template everytime a new application is received. I am saying this because you are doctor who is 90% of the time perfect and dedicated toward their work. In the past I worked with them and I really enjoyed my experience.

Hello friends:
I am still not sure if I should let my spouse appointed me as her Representative ? I want too because I feel i can help us.better,
For me, I know English well enough to fill out all Forms applied to Sponsor, but now if I help her (she know none English) to fill out her forms Principal Applicant will that raises suspicious to CIC that we "fixed" testify on papers works between sponsor and sponsored spouse. Please help.
