Can’t renew my PR card since 5 months. Online PR portal is BROKEN.

I’m sick and tired of trying to renew my PR card online since 5 months with no success. And it seems, everyone else here is having the same issues.

1) First application submitted in Oct 2022, status changes to RETURNED (photos missing) in Dec 2022 despite all photos submitted as per exact specs.

2) Second application submitted in Dec 2022, status changes to RETURNED (photos missing) on Feb 2022.

3) Third application submitted with URGENT status in Mar 2022, status stuck on SUBMITTED since a month.

You’d think a first world country would have systems with enough common sense to expedite applications marked as URGENT, but apparently they don’t give a shit.

Besides, I wouldn’t be surprised if the status changes to RETURNED after another 5 million days with the same BS reason.

Contacting them over the IRCC webform with screenshots doesn’t help either since they send the same generic reply:

We verified the information you provided and can confirm that your application is not available in the system yet. If you sent it by traceable means, you may contact the mail service provider you used in order to make sure that it was received by the processing office.

If you are outside of Canada your application should be denied. During the application you are required to confirm that you are currently in Canada.
