Hi,

After medical passed, schedule 4 and schedule A.

Canada Embassy Philippines called my current office here in Singapore to ask for my employment details
They look for our HR or Director however he is not available but they able to talk with one of our Senior Staff

they asked for the following:

•Nature of business
•Working schedule
•Is my work a permanent full time?
•My position
•My duties

Is there anyone experience this? Is this a good sign?

Bump, I would also like to hear other similar stories.

The passport request is for my work permit on my BC PNP. My PR application is still in process. .. .
High Commission of Singapore is processing my work permit that is why when Canada Embassy Philippines
call i suspect it is for my PR application since my work permit is passport request already

Ok , sorry that make sense..........All the best

Just sounds like they're doing a background check.......didn't even know they actually made calls etc. That's probably a good sign.

Same thing happened to me yesterday. But the HR executive was available so she was able to speak with the people from the embassy. God Bless!

Are these calls more of a rule or an exemption? I thought they usually send emails?

Wow, they actually call everyones employer! I can see why some applications take so long.

They don't call every applicant's employer. Only in certain cases where they might have some concerns about the applicant's documents.

I'm wondering what will happen if an applicant hasn't told his employer what the letter is to be used for since it could be addressed to: "to whom it may concern"

Ahhh, I would hope not. That would slow the process down considerably for the EE system overall.
Did they contact your employer?

I have been reading on this forum where many people had their employer contacted.
This seems to be standard and done often.

This forum represents a small fraction of the entire applicant population. The members posting on this forum is a further fraction of the members applying for EE. The members posting about having their employers contacted is another fraction of that. When you do the math, it is apparent that this isn't the standard at all.
