This fraction are the few who's employer actually told them they were contacted. My employer is not obligated to tell me if they are contacted. The members posting on this forum is a further fraction of the members applying for EE. The members posting about having their employers contacted is another fraction of that. When you do the math, it is apparent that this isn't the standard at all.
So that's just another fraction in the overall calculation, the math still holds good.Bahamas said:This fraction are the few who's employer actually told them they were contacted. My employer is not obligated to tell me if they are contacted. STATED BIG AND BOLD ON MY REFERENCE LETTER!
You'll find a lot of speculation on this forum, probably not so much in my posts. Meaningful assumption backed by evidence is a hypotheses not speculation - I hypothesize that calls/visits to employers for background verification are more an exception than the rule and are usually triggered by something in the applicant's reference letter(s). It's a hypothesis which can be proved or refuted completely based on evidence or meaningful assumptions in the absence of complete information. Period.Bahamas said:Speculation is not math.
