Had a similar experience.
Received Oath letter by email, dated April 21st
A week later received oath letter by Canada Post, dated April 19th
ECAS updates reads that we send Oath letter on April 27th.

Totally! The extra $ are worth it if you are going away a couple weeks after.
IRCC are missing a revenue opportunity here. Once someone receives DM, offer to let them select their oath date for $500 instead of waiting for their normal place in the queue.

My test date was Feb 21, 2018 but I missed my test, as I was out of the country for work purposes. I notified CIC through webmail and provided all supporting documentation but have not heard anything so far. Whether my reason for missing the test was considered valid or not by them, they will still automatically reschedule the test, even if I had not provided any explanation. However, I wanted to check if any one has had a similar experience. From reading other forums, generally the new test date is 2 months after the first test date. However, since people are getting test dates into May, this makes it more than 2 months for me and I'm starting to get a little concerned. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Someone at my work place missed their test which was scheduled sometime in Dec, they were also outta country, they have their 2nd test next week
8 new slots have opened.....hope to get May 25 one...Finger crossed.
