First you have a clear a computer based knowledge test getting 25 answers right out of 30. After clearing the computer test and vision test you will be issued an interim operator's licence on the spot. You will get your class 7 learner's licence in 7 days by mail. Till you get your class 7 learner's licence you can use your interim operator's licence. You need to show your address proof with your name such as a lease agreement, utility bill to take the computer based knowledge test.
You can take a basic road test (for class 5 GDL) or advanced road test (for full class 5 Non GDL) after a waiting period of 3 weeks after successfully passing your computer based knowledge test if you have international driving experience of more than 2 years. You will have to submit and surrender your original home / resident country driver licence along with its english translation. Your international driving experience will be counted from the date of issue of your home / resident country driving licence.
