Do you think I can use this license to secure one driver's license there in Alberta? Or do i have to get international driver's license so that I can apply at once there?

First you have a clear a computer based knowledge test getting 25 answers right out of 30. After clearing the computer test and vision test you will be issued an interim operator's licence on the spot. You will get your class 7 learner's licence in 7 days by mail. Till you get your class 7 learner's licence you can use your interim operator's licence. You need to show your address proof with your name such as a lease agreement, utility bill to take the computer based knowledge test.

You can take a basic road test (for class 5 GDL) or advanced road test (for full class 5 Non GDL) after a waiting period of 3 weeks after successfully passing your computer based knowledge test if you have international driving experience of more than 2 years. You will have to submit and surrender your original home / resident country driver licence along with its english translation. Your international driving experience will be counted from the date of issue of your home / resident country driving licence.

Job market is not conducive. My husband got survival job but i am still searching one.I want to keep in touch with all Albertians in this group. Well it dosenot take much long. Everything goes so smoothly. We made photographs of all jewelry and made list of all items we had in our bags. They didn't check it. It took almost half hour to get out of airport. Welcome to calgary.

How to pass Knowledge Test for obtaining Class 7 learner's licence

To obtain a Class 7 learner's licence you must pass a knowledge test. You must answer 25 of the 30 questions correctly on the computer in order to pass. You can skip the question whose answer you are not sure to the end of the test. The moment you answer 25 questions correctly, the test is over and you pass.This test can be taken at any authorised registry agent after paying applicable fees and showing the required documents incuding acceptable address proof with your name on it.
