Was wondering, do all sponsors get the Acknowledging of Receipt (AOR1) email after 36 days? I'm counting days and don't wanna be down when I don't receive an email....

I've been watching these forums since October, definitely not everyone gets AOR 1 within 36 days..it can take longer or shorter. In fact, not everyone gets AOR1..quiet a bit of people were getting SA right away. Also it depends if u put ur email address or not. If not, AOR could be in the mail for quiet a while.

Don't expect anything and don't wait for anything from CIC because you will be disappointed and u'll go crazy as they do not have a certain way of doing things. And most importantly, don't compare yourself to other ppl on here you will not sleep at night!!

Hi All...any news? did you all see that the processing time on the CIC website changed to country specific? Egypt now is 14 months!

I applied October 20th the application has been in process at the Cairo office since Jan 22. I tried ordering my gcms still waiting, if anybody else ordered those, how long does it usually take for cic to send you your gcms ? hope we all get good news soon .... am not sure that changing the processing time to 14 months is a positive thing!!

I ordered my notes and they came about 2 weeks later by email (in a PDF file). Their email gives a time line of one month..if it's been over a month since you ordered, you can email them to ask about it. But again, I got it 2 weeks after I ordered keeeeep positive!

This is the official CIC website to order the notes from : https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do?lang=en

The GCMSNotes.ca is a website that is not through CIC, I believe they charge $20 for the notes and are a separate company. The official CIC website is the Access to Information And Privacy (ATIP) and they charge only $5. Just make sure your ordering the right information..

thanks to you all hope they finish our papers in a fair time my wife give birth to my first baby 5 months ago and still didn't see him (only images) i cannot imagine seeing him for the first time at the age of 1

Just Received an email from CIC (AOR) they said they received our application April 7th.
This is awful it's the most awful thing we ever went through. My husband and son are in Canada and I'm here, my son just turned 11 and who knows how old he'll be when I see him again. This is unbelievably cruel
