Mabruk. Hope the best for you. Say hello to Mohamed.
So now in the visa the new UCI number for him right?
And visa without photo . Photo only in confirmation paper. ?

Thank you! Since we had previously ordered the GCSM notes, we already new the new UCI number, but yes, it is on it. The visa does not have a photo. One copy of the COPR does, it is the one the IO will keep when he lands.... (Monday)

Thank you! We had our ups and downs for sure. We were lucky and blessed. There are others here that have been trudging through the muddy mess that is immigration. I hope that things speed up and everyone waiting reunites with their partners soon.

OMG im soooo happy for you both yay !!!!

Interview Question

Hi all, I'm curious as to whether or not those who had interviews had their Canadian spouse with them? Do you think it makes a difference if you are there are not? If we get interviewed, there is a chance I will be in Canada, so I am just wondering if some people out there think it makes a difference if both people are there?

Thank you, and continued good luck to everyone!

I think it does make a difference. It shows moral support for one, unity as a couple ect.

Read back over the last few months of the thread. You will see many here had interviews in May. There were different results of each individual case. Some where both were present.

I was there, and was interviewed also (but separately), the VO seemed to be nothing of what I had read about from other experiences. I cannot even begin to suggest why that is though.

Not everyone gets an interview though, perhaps your specific relationship will not require one. Hope you hear something (good) soon.

Yeah... There are situations like those where they didn't even accept Muslim couples...

Which reminds me... I took some time to read previous messages on this thread, and I am in utter SHOCK seeing what happen to some of the people.. :o

From reading those stories (and others).. It is unbelievable! There should be something done about this... >:( >:(

The inconsistencies of how each person was treated by the VO is very confusing. After reading everyone else's experiences I was seriously ready to meet an ogre. The one I had was kind and easy going.

The man, (if it is the same one) must be bi-polar in order to have accomplished the various interview accounts.

My encounter with him was completely different from anything I heard here. He was in general mild mannered, easy to speak to, he smiled and when I was speaking maintained eye contact which gave me a sense that he was not only hearing me but interested in what I was saying. He was polite and even though his questions were (to me) insulting, he managed to ask them in a tactful way. My husband said he was polite and easy going with him as well.

I do not understand it at all. I just hope that anyone facing an interview gets the same person I was speaking with.

I think we must of had different officers because when I went back to the embassy to complain about our experience, they told us that the officer that interviewed us was only temporary and had gone back to Canada a week before we had been there. We were there June 1 so he might have already gone back to Canada

It is possible. Our interview was May 26th, so who knows. I have the mans name in my GCMS notes, he is the one that reviewed our file from start to finish.

I hope that things are going well for you and that you have healed up after the accident.

This message is for Shamsuannahr; I'd love to know if you went to the embassy and if you were able to get any information by appearing in person? I am STILL waiting for a response from the embassy to my email from 3 weeks ago and am STILL waiting for my MP to provide an update (has now been 7 business days since I submitted my information to them). Have you heard anything at all?

Take care

@Made in Canada, thanks we are healed, but my elbow is still damaged, I think there is some sort of nerve damaged because i have no feeling when i touch it.
@CanJen, I know the msg was for Shamsuannahr, but we went to the embassy after what happened and demanded to talk with someone. They were arguing with us at the front for about 2-3 hours, but it is your right if you are a Canadian citizen to talk with someone. Eventually a Canadian came to talk with us and he agreed it is my right so he arranged for me to speak with someone.

Have a safe trip home Mohamed Hassan !!!

I'm very happy for u and Made in Canada

Marie :)
