Congrats! I assume that when it goes in process and not having set up an interview, that it will be waived. That is just what I gather from other posts on the forum though, so it might be wrong. You have not been contacted for an interview? right?

The Cairo office tends to wait to update ecas until everything is almost finished. Again this is just me guessing from other members experience.

Thank you so much Made in Canada & HRH for your reply but do u know how long does it take to turn into desicion made! Btw i was never contacted for an interview.
Thanks in advance!

Each case is different but the last case we know of was cutenough. I believe it took less then 2 months from the change on ecas to getting PPR.

I received this email from the Cairo Visa Office 3 days ago and on next day i received call from Canadian embassy to just bring my passport with me just for identification purposes and nothing else and that made so confuse and worried .... please everyone pray to me :'( :'( :'( :'( :( :(

I would like very much if someone could tell me the following:
- what kind of questions am I expecting in the interview? how long is it?
- what does this tell me about the status of my application?
Below is the status of my application as per CIC, yet I am not inferring where we stand..
- application received.

I am very thankful if anyone can help..

There are many questions most will be about your spouse. It depends on your case specifically. Do you have any red flags?

If I were you, I would also take anything that shows continued communication. Any proof of visits ect. Since you filed your application, not stuff you already submitted.

Hi,

I am the wifey... I was just there in Cairo with freeislam... just got home May 7th.... what type of red flags????

With regards to your status, application received is normal, it will change after the interview to in process. The interview could be anywhere from 30 mins to an hour or perhaps more. Again, that varies case to case.

When is the interview? I hope you all the best of luck!
