Hi I am the wife too! lol.

I hope you enjoyed your trip! I envy you being able to go!

Things like past marriages, age differences, language, religion are all considered red flags. It is great that you were just there, as taking that proof with him will be great.

There are a mix of questions on this link. I know some might not apply, but I found it helpful to get an idea of what might be asked.

It is pretty much depending on your circumstances, as to what they ask.

Hi all, my husband also has his interview on Sunday. Something I was wondering about was how upfront he should be that I moved back to Egypt after I was approved to sponsor him, so that we could live together until he got his visa. I know the visa office can deny the visa if they feel there is insufficient proof that the couple intends to settle in Canada. Should he bring the acceptance letter I received to return to college in Ottawa in September? And is it really important to bring extra proof (photos etc) to the interview, if it wasn't asked for in the email he received (it just said to bring his passport or ID)? Thanks! :)

First of all, are you a PR? That would be the only bad thing for you not being in Canada. PRs are supposed to remain in Canada during the process.

It will be a very strong proof of your relationship so yes, make sure they know you have been with him this whole time!

Do you know of the reason for the interview? Red flags ect?? Anything you think they might ask, you should try to have some documents to prove what you say. Like the paper saying you have to return for school. Sometimes they question if the couple living abroad will return to Canada once PR is granted(I think that applies more to PRs, but not entirely).

I personally believe it is very important to bring extra documents. If I were you I would actually be going with him as well to show support of course, but to make it known to them as well.

Take Care

when did they contact you asking your husband for interview he shall bring all proof that showing that you will intends to settle in Canada plus this acceptance letter he also should bring all documnet that showing that your relationship is ongoing and continue dont worry about the point of you stayed with your husband i remember here in this forum smiler case like yours and they didnt even get interview i think there is red flag in your case plus its normal > did they request his passport . so its so important to bring extra proof for the interview even if they didnt ask for bcz its good chance for him to add that to his file > they requested his passport or id just as normal to show that he is mister .... lol as definition of identity lol
i think his medical expired that why they cant request his passport like you know other who they requested passport and pictures

...........................................................................

THIS TOO another Types of the questions

do you know why you are here?
when was the first contact with your wife?
how did you meet her?
who made the first contact?
what is your wife's name?
what do you call her? (I think this was because in all our emails he calls me val but my full name is valerie)
how old is your wife?
(they asked him my age, then tried to correct him, but he stood his ground and they said "yes but she will be that age in a few months", which is not really true, my birthday's not until the fall. i found that interesting)
when is her birthdate?
where does your wife work?
what does she do there?
she's lived in different countries, what has she done there?
do you know your wife's family members?
what contact have you had with them?
have you travelled together?
where did you travel together?
did you have a honeymoon?
your wife is divorced, right?
it hasn't been very long since you met each other, but you decided she would come and visit you very soon after you first met online (4 months). why so fast? how did that happen?
what happened when she visited the first time?
why were you so rushed to be married? how do you explain that?
your wife is older than you, can you explain that?
(this led into a bit more of a discussion about our age difference and whether we had discussed how it could affect us etc., it was the most nerve-racking part of the interview because it took on a more serious tone but my husband was strong and spoke from the heart with conviction and they accepted his response- this was clearly the biggest concern)
what do your family members do for work (brother, sister, parents)?
what do you do for work?
noticing our receipts for sending money back & forth:
does your wife send you money because you need it?
did you send her money for the same reason?
do you have family in canada?
are you still in contact with them?
