Our file has been transferred to Cairo office as well, I wonder if this means that I the cairo processing time is applicable on us from the moment it was transfer or does that mean that we are in the final stage of processing!!
No, the 2nd stage published (standard processing times) starts from the end of the 1st stage (the approval decision for sponsorship)
Don't worry

It has been a while since we heard from shamsuannahr I hope everything is fine with her
The excel sheet needs updates

So why the files transferred to Ottawa, what is the role of Ottawa office?
Nothing, it used to help ... all they did is keep the files ... they did not even help in assessing the proof of relationship

Thanks Dr. Eng. X for your reply, however I don't really understand what do you mean! let me ask the question again in a different way.
Is our processing time now : A)13 month as CPP-O says on the website from the day we submitted our file on the 6th march
B)15 month as Cairo office from the day we submitted our file (assumption)
C)15 month as Cairo office says on the website from the day we received the AOR
D) we are still belonging to the original CPP-O timings as we were said 12 month but it just got transferred to ottawa for finalization.

I am so confused!

Thank you in advance.

The closest answer is C)15 month as CIC site says (for 80% of applications) on the website from the day we AOR sent (Or from the approval date)
According to CIC the 15months start from the day of your sponsorship approval
Nothing with Ottawa, CPP-O did nothing at all but hold the files (I am sure because I spoke to CIC and my GCMS confirms that)

It could take less than 15months

I am get the AOR June 2012 and still waiting, most of us get the AOR June and July 2012 also still waiting, the process 3 years ago doesn't take 4 months all in all but now it takes a lot of time with the new procedures. About the visit visa I talked before with an employee in Ottawa visa office he told me u can try but 90% it ll be rejected as they ll think that my wife ll come and ll not return back and we ll complete the procedures from Canada so I didn't try, it's me who went to visit her. Good luck
