Cairo Visa Office

Well for my family and I, we sent everything after receiving my CSQ "as a Quebec Skilled Worker" last October to the Ottawa office, and we did our medical checkup at the end of December 2012. Since that time we didn't do anything and we weren't getting any useful info regarding our file.

Recently, last June, we received an email from the embassy here in Cairo telling us that the file is here in Egypt and should be processed in turn.
Since that e-mail we didn't receive anything from them, although we sent the Cairo Office and the Ottawa office like millions of mails, but we are not getting any replies from them yet.

Does anybody in here know when should we expect them to contact us or if they contact us will they need anything new from us except the fees?

My concern is the WHEN will they may contact us. We did our interview on May 2012, so it has been a very long time since then. Any help?

1. Note the VO's are on strike, so processing is slow.
2. Have you noticed what is happening in Egypt, the office has been closed on a couple of occasions.
3. The posted processing time is 13 months for 80% of the applications.

So do you think I might get it next month?
It will be a whole year since I sent the applications....
Also regarding the strike and the events that occurred here in Egypt, I guess if my applications is available at their office since last June. Also I'm not complaining about any of this, but I'm extremely frustrated about them not answering any of our mails sent to them asking about the file's current status... Any feedback or answer so we can put any kind of future plans for our lives.

R we gonna re-do them again from the beginning?
And if so, how much time will it take them to re-process the file again?

1. If only the expired medical is outstanding the VO can apply to have them extended.
2. Otherwise you will require a new Medical.

OK, I now checked the status of the file on the website and it changed right now to have the line "We started processing your file on September 18, 2013"
Does anyone know ho much time does it take in this processing??

And does that mean the next move will be asking for the passports for the Visa?

Dears, I have sent my passport since the previous Tuesday, does anyone know when am is supposed to receive it back with the landing visa?

Your case almost 12 or 13 month that’s right?

- I sent my QSW with my CSQ at 1 Mar 2013 to Sydney, Nova Scotia then moved to Ottawa, ON .
- I did the medical during May 2013

We received your application for permanent residence
Medical results have been received.

By 14 u mean 14 days, right?
Also I sent the passport to the embassy here in Cairo. And it took me about 11-12 months till they replied to me for the passport.
