Hey guys,

My CAIPS notes shows that the IO has requested for IMM 1017s because my meds have expired earlier in the year.

Is this usually a good sign that there is a greater possibility of having the application approved?

I am too lazy to look up the defn of CAIPS but it's a computerized system that the IOs use to enter notes about your file using codes and/or numbers. It helps a lot with understanding the process when you feel there has been too much frustration. Sometimes, it can be helpful in terms of giving away what to expect at an interview while in other cases it's just a waste. It all varies on the VO you have assigned to your case.

Most people order these notes when they feel their application have exceeded normal processing time to get an idea as to what may cause the long delay. Like I said, it's sometimes helpful.

Spending 5 bucks CDN to order them really doesn't hurt the heart every couple of months to see the progress with your application.

In my opinion, requesting a redo for medical is a good sign. They wont bother to request it for nothing. So good luck..you will have your visa soon:)
