BWOP Question - Already under PGWP

Hi,

I would like to get the advice of forum members for my situation.
Kindly help.

I studied in Montreal and received my Open PGWP.
My Spouse has an open work permit linked to my work permit and is currently working.
Our PGWP is expiring next year in Jun.

I am appying shortly under CEC as i have 1 year experience now.

It will be unlikely that i receive my PR prior to my Open work permit's expiration.

My question is,

Can My spouse and I apply for a Bridge Open Work Permit (in Mar 2014 with 4 months to open work permit expiry) ?
Are we both eligible for the BWOP ?
We think it would be difficult to quit our jobs(it was a struggle to get this job),
go back and come again if we do not get the BWOP.

Is there anyone in a similar situation and received BWOP for Spouse?
