If you cannot show business registration, you can show that it's in his name..?

Yes if you apply online, from India, you will have to do this on cic website and pay online. They accept visa, mastercard etc.

So what documents i need to show that shop is on his name. Does income tax return works for that.

So how does your father proof that he is the owner of the shop? Any document which will proof the business is in his name should be fine just like the tax returns.

Hi,

If the business is not registered then it's difficult to prove that it is a genuine business + it is actively trading.

Tax returns will not help. How would you prove that the income is earned from the business even for taxation purposes?

If your dad can prove other employment/business ties then that would be fine. Else, if you want to show this unregistered business for the TRV purposes..... then you would have to apply for a Shop Act license + VAT registration, etc which could take a couple of weeks at the minimum.... but it would still not help in proving that it is actively trading

Cheers

We have a small shop in our home only. That is our mother owns the building and we stay in that building. So we have a small shop in our front room and our parents stay in other rooms. i,e it is our residential home with shop in the front. So for this kind of scenario what should i show for business registration.

please let me know

For the TRV purposes, you are not able to show this unregistered business as a tie.

If you want to register this business: You'll have to check with the local government authorities in your home city. The registration documents may/may not be limited to only a Shop Act License, VAT/Service Tax registrations. It may require additional permissions/licenses depending on the nature of the business.

This entire business registration process is not simple. You may want to give it some re-thought if you're doing it only for the TRV application.

1. What ties are your mom and dad able to demonstrate individually?
2. Is your mom employed? Or does she manage the business too?
3. Do your parents earn a rental income from any property?
4. Or any income from agriculture land? Including tax exemptions?
5. Does your dad (for example) trade in shares?

1st) If you have any bank current account on business name, with good inward and outward transactions, than you can request your bank to issue a letter-head stating a business. You can use this Bank-Letter, and as well as Bank-Statement as a proof of your business.

2nd) If your business is associated with any local association. Than you can also request that association to write about your business on their letter-head.

3rd) Purchase-bills.

4th) ITR-4 is form used when someone obtains income from business.

Not very powerful proofs to prove a good business, but something is better than nothing if you really want to apply, anyhow.

A bank will NOT open a company account/current account without a Shop Act License and other registrations like VAT/Service Tax, etc. So, this suggestion is not possible.

Again, this will not carry any weight from a visa perspective. Proofs for business registration cannot be replaced by these letters.

Your suggestions for Points 3 and 4 are also not possible in this case.

To prove a business exists (and is actively trading), business registration documents are necessary..... along with tax returns, rent agreements, etc etc etc

In old days it was possible to open current account without registration anywhere, yes.

I already said that something is better than nothing.

To the best of my knowledge, it was not possible even in the seventies or the eighties.

Even in the present time, banks are pretty tough about KYC even for savings accounts

Hi,

I completed Masters in Electrical and Computer Engineering in Feb, 2018 and want to invite my sister for my convocation in June 2018 along with my parents. Actually, I applied for my parents first in Feb 2018 and visas were approved for only 10 months.
For my sister's application,
I am attaching last 5 years of ITRs of my sister along with profit and loss statements, Audited balance sheets by CA.
Also, I am attaching paper of property(house) which is held jointly by my mother and sister.
Moreover, I will attach 6 months of bank statements and 2 fixed deposits of my sister's account.
Hotel booking.
Air tickets of parents and sister describing the arrival and departure.
Evaluation Report of house.
Travel History.

My info which I will atach:
Invitation Letter(from me and university).
Bank statements.
Work Permit.
Degree certificate.
Driving license.
My Interview screenshots.

My main question is that what reason should I state for my sister coming here?
Should I state that my father is not able to come to Canada (by stating some medical reason) and my mother alone can't come. So, she will assist my mother and they have to go back as my father is alone there or nobody is there to take care of my sister's business or property.
Or
I was supposed to visit India in May but I am not able to go back due to my current ongoing interviews(I have screenshots of them) . If my sister will come, she will assist my parents in the journey and moreover, my whole family will be here with me on this great day of my life.

Please reply as I need urgent help.
