What link did Buffalo send you for photo specifications. if they have sent you the old one, I strongly RECOMMEND you that you use the new specifications (new chin-crown dimensions). Check my other posts for the link. Thanks

It seems like they sent mine on Tuesday this week and there haven't been any new tracking on Canada Post website...

vBOMB - On behalf of Superboy (he is in the washroom at the moment!): His passport was discharged on a Friday afternoon (or at least collected by Canada Post) and was received by Super on Tuesday.

How do you know that your passport was discharged: If your ECas has changed DOES NOT means that it was discharged. Wait until you get notification from Canada Post that it was collected. It might e discharged tomorrow! BUT in any case, if Decision was made on ECase you will get it by next week...

Delivery time - 2-3 days (most common 2 days). Maximum 3 days (working days)

Vbomb - Thats our first daughter's birthday - Sept 15, 2010. Mine is July 15.

This is my point of view - Your file might have caught a direct flight from Fort Erie to Vancouver and hence no update. Usually, they go to somewhere in Toronto and then get to Vancouver (eg. Missisauga). I would expected that your file should have been in Missisauga yesterday and on its way to you today and delivered to you tomorrow. It might be possible that its on its way to you.

Mine and Superboy's got updated quite fast. Mine was like: Accepted Fort Erie Friday afternoon, left for Missisauga same night and I actually got it on Monday morning (1.5 days). I live in Saskatoon.

@ sept15: yes, they sent me the link with new dimensions and I updated our photos accordingly.

for those of you who dont know my situation. I am in India (i have informed CIC & changed my address also). My passports are already with my friend (i gave it to him, when he visited India). He is going to mail the passports with necessary documents to Buffalo office.

I have a question,

Do I need to use IMM 5476 - Use of rep form or not?

Please advice.

I believe he doesn't need this form because there's no need for him to act as rep. during your application process. However, you should prepare a letter authorising him to pick up the passport on your behalf and also acknowledging that he'll be sending it over.
You can fax or mail the letter after signature.
