below is the timeline I found from some other thread. It is a similar case to Rossei. I hope it not a co-incidence that they both recieed it that quick...they are fast I guess. So all of us, lets hope for the best.

MPNP,
My application received by Buffalo January 13 2011,
AOR and medical requested 29 June 2011,
Medicals done 29 July 2011,
Medicals sent August 14 2011,
Transferred to LA 31 August 2011.

Trying to wait patiently for PPR....

Some ppl received AOR and MR altogether in the same email. I only got AOR after 4 mths. I dont know when they will send me the MR. I already completed medical exam in advance though.

As far I know, it delays a bit when the file is transferrred to any satellite office. I'm saying this based on my friends' experiences. But yes, my medical reached Ottawa on August 22 and then they had to forward it to Buffalo after reviewing. It was damn fast that Buffalo asked for PPR just after getting my medical I guess.

When I saw my status update ("received" to "in process" ) in e-CAS earlier this month; I thought there won't be any update for at least 3 months. And I was just praying to get PPR before December Xmas holidays so that I could go to my home country with Immigration Visa for my wife and bring her with me during the holidays.

I think it is a miracle. Consider your self lucky. the way I am seeing things; how do many other applicants who r still 3-4 month ahead of you in terms of medicals didnt recieve anything? They recieved my mediclas on august 23rd. I mean lets see ...our timeline is bvery similar...
my eecas have never changed to in processing yet. All it shows is file is recived on so on so date.

There is something that doesnt click in my head. Long ago I briefly saw my residential address on the ecas just for like a week. now I cant...plz explaing why?

I have a feeling that they are fast now after they change the software in Buffalo. Now they send emails for people who appied on or after January 18/2011 hey... will hope for the best

I dont know how they are determining who to process first and so on. But they are definitely not doing it in the order the applications were received. I applied in March and havent received anything but my friend who applied in April got AOR.

Seeing my case and others, who applied in March/April (2011), receiving their AOR/e-CAS updates; I can assume Buffalo has become remarkably fast. I would recommend you to postpone your tour becasue it may not be possible to send passports from outside US and Canada.

I will copy-paste the whole email I received so that everyone finds his/her specific answer.

And thanks all for your warm wishes. I hope that every1 gets a positive and quick feedback pretty soon from Buffalo. Cheers!

Hi Rossei,

Can you copy-paste your email regarding PPR request, if you don't mind and possible. So that I can get some information and also other people as needed.

Thanks

What did you mean by "NOT AT THE COST OF PEOPLE WHO ARE ALREADY BEHIND"? If you meant you don't want your PPR before anyone (literary anyone from around the globe that applied in PNP stream) who applied before you; will you return the PPR to Buffalo?

It depends on Visa Officer who handles your case. Some are fast, some are slow, (some are extremely slow, or fast).

They have their own ways to manage the files - and their ways and pace are different. All applicants do not get in the same line with same procedure, so nothing to feel guilty about if you get called faster than someone who submitted before you.

Also, each case is different. How many countries have you lived since turning 18? Are you from one of those countries that requires intensive security screening? That adds to the waiting time, too. Simpler cases, I assume as my case, I never lived in any other country other than Canada since I turn 18, and I am not from "hot zone", my case is expected to be done easier and faster. If I and Rossie situation are similar, he will get called first because he submitted before me. Now is when you talk about the order the applications are received.
