Hi,Rossei, I read many of your posts and found them really helpful! Just wondering if you could help me out with my situation.

I received medical form on Sep.22 by regular mail along with AOR. And I done the ME the next day and the doctor sent out the result to OTTAWA on Sep.30. Using the tracking number i got from the clinic, I saw that the file was delivered succesfully on Oct.3.

Yesterday, i received another letter by mail dated Sep.28 from Buffalo:

Dear xxx,

This is refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada. In order to continue processing your application, the following is required:

1.From each country/state where the residence period has been six months or longer since the age of 18, provide an original police clearance certificate for yourself. PRC POLICE CERTIFICATE.

2.Medical Examination.

Do you have any idea what's going there? Actually i did submit the police clearance certificate along with my application that was sent to Buffalo on Feb. Do they require a new one? How about the ME?

Hi Fujima,

It appears that your ME results has not been downloaded into the database YET so Buffalo has no access to it yet hence the reason you got the medical.

As for the Police Record-I am not sure about that one. Could they have lost the ones you sent? Did you live in another country other than Canada and the country u were born in? shoot them an email to find out.

But the instructions I received from my nominee office was to send fingerprints to the RCMP head office in Ottawa and when they do a search on you, they forward the results to Buffalo. So thats what I did at the start of my application. I am not sure if that was a good idea so they might ask me for Police clearance certificate too?

Thank you for your reply Saka.

I noticed on my medical form that the date was Sept.13 and they sent it out on Sept.16. So after about 2 weeks, they sent me another letter saying that they didnt have my medical exam! I dont know how fast they expected to send out a letter by mail and the time i do the ME and also the time the result was sent back. It's just not making any sense to me.

As for police clearance certificate, I'm assuming it was expired since i have it done in Nov.2010 and for some reason, they received it in Feb 2011. I heard that the criminal check record is only valid for 3 months. So if they are looking it right now (if they dont loss it), it's expired anyway.

I dont think crinimla check record is required for everyone. I have friends who received PR without submitting police record.

Oh okay.

U should scan the receipts from the DMP and email them a copy informing them you have done medicals and give the date it reached Ottawa. That will prompt them to look at it.

Are you saying you applied in November 2010? I guess they are asking you because it expired. Anyway we cant figure out Buffalo. Just get the certificate and submit ASAP so there is no unnecessary delays.
