That's not good news. Then again they may take endless time for visa stamping as well :(

This news just gave me a 2nd heart attack ???

looks like Ottawa is trying hard to find more ways to screw us....

Could not agree more :-(

Now we have one question ..
any body can have Same Day in-person Visa Stamping in Detroit. Will it be possible in Ottawa as well ?
Detroit and other Visa offices in USA will continue PR Visa Stamping. So when You get request for PPR make sure where? it says to submit passport. Ottawa or Detroit.

does any one got this kind of request from ottawa , regarding phn no

Hello Ram,

I wanted to reply you ,but was stopping myself, because my reply may dishearten you!!!!

This is my personal thinking and I may be 1000% wrong.

I think they asking you for your phone number is a catch. If we apply under FSW2, the time you get the PR, you should still be working in Canada.

Now you are in India and the condition above is getting violated and they are I suppose validating that.

Again, I maybe wrong and this is what I think.

All the best and believe in god!!!

I think you'd better order CAIPS NOW to see the notes on your file! If they want to interview you through the phone, you'd better know how to fight against them. As long as you have solid evidence to show your eligibility, they should give you PPR.

No way. There is no requirement for an applicant to stay in a country after sending an application and no requirement for someone to be still working in Canada for their application to be in process.
Ram just give them your phone number. They may do a phone interview with you. Order CAIPS.
