Hello,
I am wondering if anybody got medical request recently like in November. Please reply with your timelines if you recently got MR.

I have contacted my local MP and got response that they will follow up with OTT and expect response in about a week.

That is what I am wandering as well. Who got ME lately. It seems Ottawa don't work on sending ME recently any more.

Mat and other - Can you post the timeline of the above status?

Mine says: We reviewed and started processing your application on May 4, 2012

Yes. I have the same line that means IP. My case went into IP in the late Apr, 2012

Do you know of anyone who got MR with status: reviewed and started processing late Apr/ early May
Most people in this thread got their status changed to reviewed and started processing between Dec'11 and early Apr'12.

I know many peopel got MR whose case was started to be process in that time.

I also got response from Buffalo this May to ask for more documents after it became IP status.

How did you contact with MP? Did you contact MP through email or phone call?

Do you have any proof of it?

I was told by CIC supervisor long time ago. You can call CIC and ask them yourself. Since I have applied for FSW3 they have changed it many times and there is no FSW3 anymore anyways!!!! Everytime they do changes I call and ask whether it applies on my case or not. I will look online they should have it there too!!!!

Katydid/Mat2010/bogcan/az21 - I am wondering if my medicals are delayed because I have lived 3 countries and vacationed in 2 other countries. I have also entered/exited US/Canada legally multiple times.
Have you guys also visited/lived-in more than 2 countries?

It will be great if they can change him but what is the guarantee that new one will be able to do something .Unless they hire more staff to solve issues, same or new minister will not be able to do anything.I think it is the mindset which needs to change.As per previous posts in the forum from other members ,it is pretty evident that staff in Ottawa like buffalo has been overloaded with work.

What happens when work is more than they can handle?Answer is:-They stop worrying ,do not care and keep processing at slow pace.

It is similar to the Airlines,for example,when you travel in Continental Airlines,Staff is rude ,they do not care about people because they are overloaded with work.After a while ,quality in service is bound to go down and it does.

I have strong feeling that they are not looking at Jan/Feb and maybe March candidates also,except one or two cases.I will be very happy if I am wrong

Has CAIPS proved useful to anyone? Or is it like - they look at your watch and tell you what time it is.

Based on few posts I read, it appears that CAIPS notes only indicate times when some officer has touched your file and nothing more than that.

Can you please share your thoughts?

Ahhhhh..!!!! Only God knows why they waste their time for making such a big bundle of 36-37 pages which states very little useful information and rest is just ....If they try pushing that time in the processing of files may be we get results faster than the usual....But these notes are useful to check the incoming and outgoing of legal letters, and the dates on which any action took place.

well it did not help me at all. I got it in August and I got another one yesterday!!!!!!!!!!! ther is no difference in two forms at all!!!!!!!!! My status is Sec Criminal check and it says Medical Validity Stage!!!!!!! You get yours and let us know if there is anything good there for you!!!

I am living in USA these days and this is my 7th country in a row that I stay for more than 6 months. I have received my medical in March 2012 earlier but still no PPR. Hope and wish I may have PPR soon. So sending medical and PPR, nobody knows how it gonna work with CIC.

Anything is possible. I have been living in Canada for past 4 years and went to US several times. I also went to my country 2 times to visit family. I am in b/check with no MR for more than a year now.

It seems that FSW3 (International students in Canada) is the only category who their files are reviewed but CIC did not issue medical. Have you all (Katydid/Mat2010/bogcan/greatlakes) had this sentence? "Your file has been reviewed and we started ....."

On the other hand, we cant say that they do not issue medical for FSW3, because many of my friends (FSW3) received MR recently. It is just confusing to me why we do not have MR yet.
