It was totally unexpected for me as I got a feedback from my MP that it would come in 2013 first.
So koodoos to Ottawa on moving fast now.

Another question to all audience is - When Ottawa says their average processing time is 29 months. When do they start counting the time? Does the clock start ticking from the time applied to CIO Sydney, NS or when we sent our documents to Buffalo/Ottawa.

This is what everyone wants to know! besides does 8 months makes sense? I guess it is a typo!

The website says: "The tables below indicate application processing times at Canadian visa offices"

Based on the wording, it appears that after Ottawa receives application, it takes 29 months.

My take is, Total processing time = 29months + no. of months passed between intial application filing and sending application to Buffalo/ottawa

So in my case, I inital filed in May'10 and then sent docs to Buffalo in Dec '10. Thats 7 months months passed between intial application filing and sending application to Buffalo/ottawa. Total processing time = 29 + 7 = 36 (3 yrs)


In theory, I should get PR by April 2013, but I am still waiting for Medicals ;D

We initially had send it in March 2010 to Sidney and received the 1st AOR in April 2010. The rest of the timeline you can see at the left hand side.

I had send an email to Ottawa, but already in July and never have heard anything.
It just popped up yesterday in my email.

The 8 month and 29 month timeline by Ottawa is a Joke.... I don't think they know what they are doing or being trained or just stupid...whatever it is my life is being wasted//.

yes I sent it to detroit visa express mail and also added another prepaid envelop inside for the return…both express mail…can't wait for my passport to be stamped lol…
