I received a email this afternoon from NY consulate regarding my passport status. Here is a email from NY Consulate:-

Dear Sir,

The visas were issued on Feb 22 2013. The package will be sent out shortly.

I don't know What is the actual meaning of shortly.

Every message from CIC and MP is false....they told everyone that you will see great progress after 90 days when buffalo office got closed and files transferred to Ottawa but "nothing happened" then people started to expect some good news at the end of feb but "nothing happened" , now people are saying march will bring extra-ordinary results and much awaited MRs and PPRs, but dont think this will happen. Its almost a year they have ceased the intake of new applications but I can hardly see what they have progressed so far. All MI2 and MI3 are still untouched. Dont know when they ll open our cases and send MRs Everywhere there is a politics and false promises...lets all pray together for our speedy proccesing coz god can help much better than requesting MPs and CIC people.

I got my passport this afternoon in my return express envelope with COPR form.
They gave me immigrant visa until December 2013. I have to land before this date,

I hope you will get your passport within next few days.
please let me know regarding your landing plans .

What is the validity of your Medical?Did your medical's ever expire?. Lastly,are you in US?

I am also April 2010 applicant and done medicals last year before buffalo office shutdown. Last week of Feb I received the updated documents request from ottawa and I sent them back..Please let me know the timeline to get the PPR request .

They said 84 days in CIC website, but my husbands received his in exactly 30 days.

Have you guys got your passport back yet?I know Garry already did. I sent mine on the 7th March so kind of looking to get an idea how long it takes for NY office to send them back.. Can you guys post when you get yours back please?

My medical will expire in march 2014. They extend my medical from march 2013 to march 2014.
