Hi we almost have the same timeline.

Yes very close. I had got 1st AOR around Nov 1st week, send docs to Buffalo in Dec 2010 and got 2nd AOR on May 2011 and then IP after reviewing on April 19, 2012.

Applying in one category is different that applying for two category at the same time!!!!! They only applied under CEC if I am not mistaken!!!!

Who told you there is difference between the applicants with one application and two parallel applications? Do you have any evidence to support this? I never heard the difference.

Some of my friends who got rejected their second application(Parallel application).. They are already landed thou!!!! Immigration loves it when we pay 550 n then we are rejected!!!!! I was saying that based on the cases, I have seen.

Thanks ram84!!! At least it means they didn't stop processing FSW!!! I almost plan to take IELTS and apply CEC again. Patience is all we need! I will keep you guys updated afterwards.

I have been a silent reader on this forum for a few months now and have some information to share that may give hope to some people.

I am an April 2010 Applicant and I got my PPR from CPP Ottawa yesterday. Here is my timeline.

Application to CIO Sydney N.S. ; April 2010
Category; FSW1
First AOR from CIO; June 10, 2010 (request to submit docs to Buffalo Visa Office)
Documents Sent to Buffalo ; Sep 2010
2nd AOR from Buffalo Visa Office ; Dec 2010
Status change on ECAS to "Your application was reviewed and we started processing on January 30, 2012";
Meds and RPRF fee request from Buffalo by regular mail; Feb 2012
Meds and RPRF sent to Buffalo ; Mar 2010
PPR request from CPP Ottawa ; Nov 23, 2012

In my Ecas it never mentioned that my file was moved to CPP Ottawa. Also it never showed meds received.

Even today the ECAS status is In Process and the last note is "Your application was reviewed and we started processing on January 30, 2012"

I have been asked to send my Passports to Detroit. I am in Toronto and am thinking of driving down to Detroit. Anyone who has got their Immigrant visa stamped in person at Detroit? can you please share your experince. Should I take an appointment? Do they return the passport with the Visa in a couple of hours? Should I plan on being there for a couple of days?
