BUFFALO Transfer Files To Other Visa Office In US

Congratulations to the people who got MR.

My application was transferred to Los Angeles (from Buffalo) on 28th September. I had not received any mail from Buffalo about the transfer. Came to know about it only through E-Cas status. LA had reviewed my application and started processing on 20th October (again as per E-Cas status).

Dear Seniors & Friends - Can you enlighten me what does this Review mean? Is this a good progress? I moved to Canada on WP and need to file for extension in case the PR process takes longer. Any information/guidance will be greatly appreciated.

Its very good new DenverCO. You file reviewed means they found you eligible for the PR. Now you have only 2 stages left. one id medical request and other is passport request. Best of luck. My file also transfered to Los angeles on 14th oct but I got the email from Buffalo and ecas showing the same. As per your time line they reviewed the file in 22 days.

In your case either they have your incorrect emailid or if you have any representative then it might be with him.

That is true what skFSW said... DenverCo you may also need to check your SPAM box too - the email might have never reached your inbox but got filtered into SPAM box.

skFSW, I wonder why it is taking longer for mine - it is still pending review after transfer on Oct 5.... see below

Do you mind sharing your application timeline?--When you sent your application to CIO, and the full docs to Buffalo?

My application was transferred to LOS ANGELES on Oct 14,2011.

Below are time lines....

Received Application on Jan 2010.
Reviewed Application transferred to Buffalo VO on Mar 2010.
2nd AOR Nov 2010.
In Process on Feb 2011.
Application Transferred to Los Angles on Oct 2011.

Can anyone explain me why the status in ECAS was shown as In process in Feb 2011 and now in Oct 2011 it says the file was transferred to LA Vo.
Does this happen to anyone?

I had sent my Initial application to CIO in Nov 2009, Received 1st AOR in Feb 2010

Sent my application to Buffalo, NY in June 2010, received 2nd AOR in the 1st week of November 2010

My Application was shown as In Process in 1st week of May 2011 and was transferred to LA office in the last week of September.

The E-Cas status got updated to Reviewed only last week.

Pretty much same timeline as mine. except the transfer to LA- yours was transferred sept 28 and mine was oct 5. If your status changed to Reviewed last week, then mine has chance to get to that next week.
What is your NOC? mine is 0213.

Hi erik, I think now its your turn. DenverCO file transferred on Sept 28 and yours on Oct 5 and mine is Oct14. As per DenverCO his file reviewed on Oct 20 so your might be this week just wait for next Tuesday and we pray you can see gud news.

DenverCO why not you sent a case specific enquiry. I sent it 2 days back but did not get the response yet.

Now I need some guidance,
1. Can I send the demand draft and POF right away, I guess yes but will it give me any benefit as I'm travelling to NY for medical on 3rd Dec. So I can hand them over personnally (saves courier cost )
2. Will it be possible to get the visa stamping in the same trip, again I am doing medical on Monday 5th Dec and the results will be forwarded to them immediately. How can I make it possible, I do not want to send passports by courier to my Immigration lawyer in Toronto and then he send them to NY. While return again it comes to Toronto then to me.
3. My lawyer's address is currently my communication address in my file.. do you suggest changing it to my current address

DMP will not give you medical reports. they will sent it to Ottawa. From there it will routed to NY VO and total process will take min 1-2 months.Once you get the passport request that time you can make it stamp on 1 day by visiting VO.

I thought I can finish everything in this one trip became too greedy .. now everything is clear and I'm waiting for the package.

One information: The DMP in NY is asking 220 per adult and 110 per child, the cheapest I found so far in US.

Hi Aspirant, its not you we all are in same situation and waiting from so long.........Hope everyone dream will come true before New year. and yeah its good fees but ask the receptionist telephone number and after 1 week call them and take tracking details. then thereafter you can track.
