Hi guys, hope everyone doing great. I've a question. I've ordered GCMS notes on first week of May and expecting in two weeks. Meanwhile I got documents request and sent on this Monday. By the time I'll receive it do you think it will be those last changes and if they received it on those notes to see or not? Thanks

Hi Samnov:

Your question is not very clear... but if I understand correctly, no you will not see the last changes on your GCMS report when you receive it.

What comes first: PPR or Decision made?

They need to make a positive decision on your case first, then they ask for your passports.

Hello,

I have seen both. Some receive PPR first and then their ECAS changes to DM and some vice versa.
I my case for example, my ECAS changed to DM last Monday but I have not received PPR yet.

Hello Samnov,

As Cam has responded, I don't think the new changes would be reflected in your new GCMS.
The following dates are when I applied for GCMS, when it was prepared by CIC and when I received it:

Applied for GCMS Date it was generated by CIC Date I received GCMS
April 9, 2014 April 10, 2014 May 13, 2014
January 2, 2014 January 13,2014 January 31, 2014
July 17, 2013 July 29, 2013 August 16, 2013

So as you can see, the GCMS was ready long before it was sent. I hope this helps.

Thanks Shinbukan, absolute well explained. I hope you get that email very soon.

Experts,

I need some advice regarding sending Passports from USA to Ottawa...

I am trying to buy and print label from Canadapost...what should I fill in the "From" address?? (should it be the CIC address mentioned in PPR e-mail?)

Also, what should I fill in the "Unit Value" for passports in the Custom Declaration form? and do I need to mention in the Customs form about COPR or mentioning about passports is good enough?

Kindly let me know...

Hi guys, hope everyone doing great. I need suggestion . I've received my GCMS notes and it shows that my spouse and I have passed the Medicals but my child's medical status says sent. By the time we've made our Medicals in December 2013 my son did not have medical forms yet so doctor's office created a UCI # for him and we emailed a copy of all three to CIC. Until now I don't have the third line "Medicals received" added, that's why I order GCMS notes to see what's going on. Yesterday I emailed the same medical information sheet to CIC again asking to find it.
My question is should I go ahead and do for my child a new medical, this time with the real medical form or give them time to find it?
Bdw according to GCMS my criminality check was still not started but 3 weeks ago they asked me for police certificate from a third country which I sent last Monday. Of course that was not on GCMS notes. Thanks

Hi guys
Can you please help me to understand what I find in my sons GCMS medical section:
Type: Medical
Status: sent
IME status: not Started
Reason For Closure: received in eMed
MOF Rationale Exists: No

Hello Samnov,

In my case we received medicals for myself and my spouse. We completed the medical and updated cic about our baby.CIC then sent separate forms for the baby. We did the baby medical after we received the forms and UCI from CIC.

I think your doctor did a mistake by creating a UCI for your child. UCI's are created by CIC only.

Write a letter to your case analyst explaining your situation clearly. They will ask you to fill out some forms and will send the baby medical form to you.

Regards.

Hi Lincoln, thanks for input. The thing is that they send me already medical form for our son. But coz we did for him upfront Medicals so never thought it would be a problem until I received my GCMS notes. For me and for my spouse it says passed but for the baby

Type: Medical
Status: sent
IME status: not Started

Now I don't no what does it mean if it is bad news I'll do for him one mor time this time with the medical form. I did however I sent CIC an email waiting for answer.

May be they received it and I'm just panicking. And if so why they don't update my ecas to Medicals received. I don't now hope it's soon done. It's to much. Thanks anyway.

From my application status on cic.gc On-Line Services:

1.We received your application for permanent residence on September 29, 2011.

2.We started processing your application on June 3, 2014.

3.Medical results have been received.

I don't know what they have started doing on June 3rd but it is something!

Yeah, I think it's really strange and to think they still haven't found my RPRF payment after 3.5 months! (paid 24th February)

I don't understand what's going on.
