I dont think they will withdraw one of the application except there is likelihood of success on the second one. And from what I understand about the PR processess, once eligibilyt has been met, the procedure for activities like medical, security etc are the same. Your PPR will come and it wont be in the negative if you contact your MP to get updates. Sometimes, it helps to alert them to ones file.

Please dont be depressed, it is gonna come.

It is the time it takes for mail to reach US, CIC had done their job : the 2nd day they received my passport.

If you are not in Canada, can you send a trackable return envelope? I think they use the regular envelope...so it is possible that your has been sent. Keep your eyes on your mails.

My lawyer sent my passports in Canada, I will SEND email to ottawa next week.

Hey guys. I have found the big envelop from CIC Ottawa, in my mail box when I got home, with CPRs enclosed and letter head stating:
Because you and your dependents are nationals of visa-exempt country, you will be issued the Confirmation of Permanet Resident (CPR) document only. No visa counterfoil will be issued.

Question, this is the first time I hear someone from a visa-exempt country get their CPR without an email first requesting you the send in a copy of your passport. This is great, so they did not contact you asking for a copy of your passport main page and directly sent you CPR?
