Hey guys. I have found the big envelop from CIC Ottawa, in my mail box when I got home, with CPRs enclosed and letter head stating:
Because you and your dependents are nationals of visa-exempt country, you will be issued the Confirmation of Permanet Resident (CPR) document only. No visa counterfoil will be issued.

Really great that damodar got PPR, hope bravoo gets it too, those two were really stressed/worried.

Guyz, great to see so much progress on the forum finally.

But I am feeling so depressed of waiting and waiting ...

I need a suggestion. I applied in April 2011 under FSW1 and got medical exam request in July 2013 and still waiting for PPR since then.

I also got a job offer in 2013 and submitted a second application in May 2013 under FSW2 (because the first application was taking forever after Buffalo office closure) and my previous application was in queue for more than 2 years.
I called CIC call center and they told me that we can submit two applications and it is fine. Both application will be processed and whichever completes first, will get the PR and second application will be closed automatically.

In January, my eCAS says that my old application under FSW1 submitted in April 2011 has been withdrawn and my new application (submitted under FSW2 in May 2013) says In-Process and following two lines added
- We start processing on your file in January 2014
- Medical results have been received

I did medical exam for my old application, but they automatically added medical results on my second application.

Surprisingly, they closed my old application without even asking. Normally they ask the applicant.

Is it a good news or a bad news that I have to wait more ?

Please any suggestions? I am feeling depressed of waiting so long now ... should I go to my MP ?

I dont think they will withdraw one of the application except there is likelihood of success on the second one. And from what I understand about the PR processess, once eligibilyt has been met, the procedure for activities like medical, security etc are the same. Your PPR will come and it wont be in the negative if you contact your MP to get updates. Sometimes, it helps to alert them to ones file.

Please dont be depressed, it is gonna come.

Guys mine interview was on 11th in New Delhi , with god grace and all of your wishes I cleared interview and I got visa
My interview goes more than one hour
