Got passport request today


My timeline is:
1. Applied for PR on March 19, 2012
2. Received confirmation email on March 29, 2013
3. Ecas shows " we stared processing your application on Oct 23, 2012"
4. Received medical request and paid Right of PR fee on Nov 05, 2013
5. Medical done on Nov 18, 2013
6. Ecas shows medical received by CIC on Nov 27,2013
7. Receive Passport request on Nov 28, 2013 and sent out today

How long does it take for getting passport back? Booked and paid $1500 for a trip to Orlando (Dec 20,2013).

My lawyer said he will wait till next week to ask for extension. But honestly I don't know how they ask or to who. I called FBI and the woman told me it could take in total 10 weeks because the goverment shoutout ???

Just called FBI, they said they are working on applications opened by them on October 17th. I'm also waiting since Nov 6th.

I tried, I emailed them twice, explaining them the situation and asking a suggestion from them and nothing, not a reply back yet. This is an important email to them and they do not bother replying. In the past when I asked routine questions, the very next day I got an reply back, "your application is in process, thanks for keeping your correspondence at minimum" type of reply. Frustrating!!!;

Your time line and mine are close. CIC requested for Medical on Oct. 31, and just did it on Nov. 15. I'm still waiting for PPR, hoping to be soon! Good Luck everybody.

I have a question to you, did you receive request to send a new Police Clearence Certificate or just the one yo sent with your application?

I only provided one I did in 2007 when I was in China. They didn't ask for any additional documents.

Still waiting for visa. I have extended the interview date for a month.
How its possible that ur gcms doesn t tell u the reason, as mine clearly says " interview required to determine the eligibility"
Plz read ur notes carefully there must been a reason mentioned there .
