What I did was: After a month of waiting I sent them 1 email asking "Please advice if you received my update documents sent on ....". And after 3-4 weeks they replied with yes, we received...

So, sure, send them an email asking if they received documents or not. In this case even if the documents get lost anywhere, they see on file your email that you actually sent everything.
I already sent them an email on end of august to confirm receiving of document and on next day I got confirmation that they received all my documents. what should I ask them now?

hi Edmontonion204,

Good to see you again, did you ever send generic application form 2D, if not you need to send first in order for them to process your application and it is also depend on your documents and case analyst. So, in my opinion, you better to wait for some more days for document request.

Thank you
I did send generic application form with 2D bar-code on it with updated document request. I sent the updated documents on August 9.

This is the Generic application form (IMM0008ENU), right? The email we received from CIC specifically indicated that only the principal applicant was to complete this form. Only the principal applicant completed schedule 3 (imm0008_3e) as well.

We both completed the IMM5669 (Schedule A) and the IMM5406 (Additional family information) formss

This is what the email says:

In order to continue processing your application, the following is required:

A. FOR MY WIFE:
1. A completed, updated and signed IMM0008 Application for Permanent Residence in Canada.
2. A completed, updated and signed IMM5406 Additional Family Information.
3. A completed, updated and signed IMM5669 Schedule A.
4. RPRF: Pay the Right of Permanent Residence Fee.
5. Police Certificate: Please provide an original police clearance certificate from India.
6. FBI Clearance: Please provide an original FBI clearance certificate.
7. Proof of settlement funds (LICO).
8. Letter of employment from current employer.

B. FOR ME:

C. FOR OUR OLDER CHILD WHO IS ALREADY ON THE APPLICATION:
1. Copy of new valid passport

It is very confusing as there are multiple versions of form IMM0008. Can someone please advise which IMM0008 form should be filled for me?

In our case we were sent the link to each of the required forms as well. I will suggest you email the case analyst who sent you the email and request that he/she sends you the link to each of the forms you and your wife are to submit since you are a bit confused about which of the IMM0008 forms the principal applicant and the spouse needs to complete. I however suspect it could be this one though it is better to find out from them:

In this case you know that they have your updated docs and medical exam results, so the best you can do is to not disturb them. Your file probably is lined up for another review/decision.

Thanks Cam. They asked for the exact same thing from me. Getting a response from CIC depends on a lot of things/stage of processing - your background checks, medical evaluation/concerns, your Visa officer, and many more. I do think officer DS01608 is pretty fast to respond though. But the trick is, just because one officer sent doc request doesnt mean he's the one that would process the file.

Hope you here something soon

Hi com2canada ,

Congrats on your PR .

They have asked me following today ... I guess just submitting our canadian bank account should be sufficient . We have more than 30,000 CAD in our accounts [ Checking account + Savings + TFSA account etc. ] .

This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada. In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following documents:

· Updated evidence of settlement funds (showing 3 months deposits/ withdrawals history) for yourself and your spouse

Please submit the requested documents/fees to the following address:

In mid - July they have already asked following documents ... letter from employer , contracts with duties performed , Payslips since 2009 , T4 and NOA since 2009.
Do you think above request could be last document request before PPR ? BTW my wife had a medical futherance question, details of which was sent by DMP in 1st week of October.

Thanks alwayspositive & feng... Yes, I think because I didn't have to send them my passport, just a scanned copy of the data page, it went faster. I emailed them the scanned data page on the same day I got the PPR email; the following day my ECAS status changed to 'decision made' and about a week after that I received the COPR/visa in the mail. They are really starting to move quickly.

Hi Com2Canada:

Congratulations, I wish you safe landing! ;D

May I ask, what docs did they ask you to send them, which they processed in lightening speed? Below is what was asked of me:

" Updated IMM0008 “Generic Application Form For Canada”

· Updated IMM5669 “Schedule A” for yourself and your spouse

· Updated IMM5406 “Additional Family Information” for yourself and your spouse

· Updated evidence of settlement funds (showing 6 months deposits/ withdrawals history) for yourself/ your spouse

· Original police certificate for yourself and your spouse from the State where you are currently residing

· Updated letter of reference from your current employer confirming employment along with a detailed description of your duties OR proof of your current enrollment and attendance at an educational institute."

Many thanks,
Cam

Hi All,
Forth line "Medical Results have been received" added to my e case,
I have done my medical on 11/01/2013
folks who are worried about being diabetic, I am also a diabetic and told doctor about onset date and kind of treatment I have been taking. Doctor has noted down the Insulin names and current doses, I had to do Serum createnine report which was normal I know it because doctor has mailed the Xray result, Serum Createnine report, HIV reports to my home address and all the reports were normal)
Can I consider from this that my medical has passed?
I am still waiting for the FBI Police clearance certificate (I have called to FBI customer service, they were working on files which they have received on 10/16/2013. mine reached on 10/15/2013 and it will take 2-3 more weeks for me to get it)

Thanks,
