I received email format for Payment of RPRF, I did my medicals but still in process to be received by cic, FBI PCC yet to be sent but thought of paying RPRF, so and as i followed the link and added my debit card information it said transaction unsuccessful.
Anyone has any idea if its coz of debit card? As i went through the Website it says credit card. I am paying through US bank issued visa debit card, and usually it can also be used as credit payment. I don't want to use credit card as the credit card company might put hold on large credit amount transferred internationally.
Please forum members with some idea about such transaction share your ideas..

I have a Question, I tried to local Police departments for Finger Printing and they said they dont do it any more.... Do you know where i can get Finger printing for FBI.? I live in NJ area...

Hi

There are few Channelers through with you can get your fingerprinting done (http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/criminal-history-summary-checks/fbi-approved-channelers). You may call them talk to them about the requirement and they would be the right people to tell you more details.

Also read thru the FAQs in this website link - http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/criminal-history-summary-checks/faqs.

But last week when I had to submit the finger prints, I got some response in this forum that CIC doesn't accept the report from Channeler, however there is no official communication anywhere on CIC website. So I did fingerprinting by myself, which I did last time in 2010, but sent 4 copies per person, just in case if required. I had also sent a covering letter explaining my situation (60 days limit). Hope they respond soon.

Hi OSR,

You posted really good information, and channelers are only for citizens or Green card holders only, you can see clearly in the FBI wed site about that. one of the channelers are also advised me same way. and FBI clearance certificate is usually valid for one year, but immigration office may consider old ones, I think it is depend on him.

Thank you

Come up to newyork city, u can find tons of law firm that does it, if not, u can print the finger printing form yourself from FBI website and DIY but to DIY u have to be very cautious, that u don't get rejected of not doing it correctly. So i suggest don't take risk just spend few xtra bucks and do it via professionals.
Good luck.

Suggestions needed: I was just requested Medical Exam and RPRF last time as indicated in my timeline on the left. But I was not requested any updated docs as some other pretty common cases in our forum. I estimate CIC will ask for the docs in a couple of weeks/months. To save the processing time, does anyone think if I can send the common updated docs in initiative?

PS: we also have a newborn baby who is Canadian. Might I need to send the copy of her birth certificate with the docs?

Thanks for any suggestions.

zw, if you are already in Canada and you have a job offer, the docs might be different anyway. If you've been in Canada the entire time since you applied for PR and you haven't left at all, they might not even ask for a police certificate (you never know...). Additionally, if you have left, there seems to be some question as to whether they will request the FBI or local/state police certificates, as that varies from person to person, so it's difficult to predict in advance. And, for some of the documents like proof of funds, you can't do that too far in advance because the whole point of their request is to verify that you currently have the amount you need. You can fill out the generic IMM forms but that's about it at this point, and you never know, they might not request more. As you are a fellow 2011 applicant, expect them to at least ask for the IMM form updates (which are almost identical to what you sent in your original application, just updated since it's been 2+ years), and since you are an FSW1, expect a proof of funds request. Additionally, they might ask for a reference from your current employer (or school if you are a full time student) just to verify what you are doing right now, and that's something you can probably get done ahead of time. The forms will probably be IMM0008, IMM5669, IMM5406, and IMM0008.3e ("Schedule 3"). That's what they asked me for and you and I have similar timelines and are both FSW1.

What FBI is dealing with people is independent than CIC. FBI will send the results back to you via a channeler and what you do with them is between CIC and you. CIC will not accept results from channeler regardless if you are a US citizen or from a 3rd world country. Just not accepted! I know this for sure!

I did the same... I'm in Europe and in my city the police don't do it anymore so I sent 2 copies of my fingerprints ... Still waiting and praying all is ok and get them at least in a week... I sent a letter as well explaining I had 60 days... I called FBI but they said won't give any info until is at least 6 weeks if receiving

How come they asked you for proof of funds if you are FSW2 and we don't need it... Any comment about this please

He said proof of funds OR employment letter; if you are FSW2 you should have an employment letter and if you are no longer employed then you will need to provide POF. You are correct that if you are FSW2 and either currently employed in Canada or with a job offer, you don't need POF, but you will still need to provide proof of that job.
