zw: Yes they did ask for extra docs, oddly enough they asked for them in the meds request and additional docs in a second separate email request. Same as everyone else - asked for updated forms, proof of funds, and police certificates. The only difference I can see between our requests and most of the others on here is that we were NOT asked for updated FBI certificates, only local police certificates for the state we live in. This is significant because it is
much easier to get a police certificate from a state police office versus the FBI! You can usually get same day service if you go to the state police office. I don't know why some people on here get requests for updated FBI certificates and others like us only get requests for state police certificates, but it might be because my wife and I have lived continuously in the US since filing our original application, with no moves to other states or countries.
Also, as with many on here, our ECAS changed after med results. After we did our med exams, a third line was added in our ECAS that said "medical results have been received" about 2 weeks after we did our medical exams. However, unlike many on here, our ECAS currently still says RBVO in the status line even though we received our PPR today, so my theory on this is that the med results line is probably entered into ECAS by someone other than the case officer since our overall status in ECAS has not changed since June 2011 - I don't think it ever will either, as it does not appear to be updated at all by our specific case officer. I'd rather not mention our case officer on here because this is a public forum but my guess is that some case officers are more proactive in updating ECAS than others. So for anyone who is worried, don't stress about ECAS - I am living proof that ECAS doesn't matter. It still says RBVO for me yet today I received my PPR
