Hello Guys,
Can I get a working number to call Ottawa from USA? I stated on this platform that I had submitted a cancellation of rep request to Ottawa back in September 2013 and they did not effect the changes. They then communicated to my rep in October about medicals and RPRF. I resent a request to Ottawa on 10/25/2013 and a second reminder on 10/29/2013 with their aut0mated response as evidence. Still no one has responded to me and they have not changed the address on ecas either. I am afraid they will send further communication to the rep and they will sit on it. Since I told my rep that I am cancelling them, they have not sent the complete communication from CIC to me. So I have not seen my medicals request and waiver notice yet. But I will go ahead and make use of e-medicals since I was told the doctor could locate me and my family on e-medicals. I have my UCI number and application number as well.
Any help on how to get in touch with Ottawa since I can't afford to risk further communication going to the rep
Thanks
Lawis

Hello all,

I have a question for fellow Iranian members:

Do you know if it is a sure thing that CIC will ask for a valid police certificate? Do you know any case that CIC has not asked for this document?
It may worth mentioning that I submitted a police certificate with my other documents 2.5 ago when I sent my whole application.

Ba tashakkor az komake shoma,
A.R.

Thanks BK, that was a heart soothing clarification you gave there. I got the same line added to my ecas too and I was wondering why they did that instead of just issuing MR straight away.

I am getting another panic attack now... i had applied under FSW2 in may 2011 and under CEC in august 2012. FSW asked me for updated documents in june 2013, they sent me medical n rprf request on sep 16 but I never received the medical form. On 1st october i got the medical form for CEC file. I did my medicals on 4th october, results were sent on 21st october, 23rd october 3rd line was added that medical results have been received, on 24th i got the passport request for CEC. I sent my passport and it was delivered to ottawa on 31st october. and then I received the passport request for FSW2 on 1st november. Today i checked my ecas and it is saying my CEC file was withdrawn on 1st of november and a 'decision made" on FSW file. I know CIC stops processing one file after a decision is made on the other. but why did they withdrew my CEC file while I have already sent my passport for that. I hope my passport wont be lost or misplaced during all this confusion.

You have a win-win situation here, so I don't know why you are panicking. As long as you have sent the passport to the correct address, then it's just a question of responding to the email for FSW PPR letting them know the situation. At least all immigration visas processed in Ottawa are issued in one place - so whether your passport was sent for CEC initially or not, they will end up in 365 Laurier Ave West.

I think they should already have your passport and have even moved your files around, especially now your ecas has been updated. But you still do need to respond to the FSW PPr stating the situation

I imagine the decision on which application to withdraw depends on a lot of factors even though it should rest with you. But besides that, the VO can exercise his/her discretion depending on what they feel is best for you. They may also consider the fact that your FSW2 was filed first.

I am just worried that my passport dsnt get lost. Should I reply to FSW ppr email stating what I have stated here..that my passport was already sent to immigration? My CEC file was being handled by Green and Speigel while FSW was filed by me. SO for the return of my passport, the address is of Green n Speigel...I hope that dsnt make any difference

Where did you send your CEC PPr to? In any case you need to send another return self-addressed envelope to CIC add an explanation of what's going on. Don't assume CIC will automatically send the passport back to your address
