Congratulations Tokyo and mkb87. Finally the long PR journey has ended for you. Enjoy the moment and all the best for the future! :) :)

hi always positive,

First of all congrats, thanks for your guidance in this forum, and I have one question, could you try to guide me. I applied FSW1 in march 2011, at that time, I did not add my wife as accompanied person, because she is still in the first semester of grad school in US, and now she is going to finish, so, I would like to add her as accompanied person in my application. Do you know anything about procedure to change this.

Recently, one week before, I got medicals, and also asked to pay rprf for both of us. I don't understand, because I never paid application fee for her before. Is it a good option to change my wife status from unaccompanied to accompanied?, could you suggest me if you know anything about it.

Appreciate for your help in advance.

Congrats Tokyo123! Where did you do your landing? I'm still waiting for my passport. The CIC received it on SEpt. 20-hoping to get it pretty soon! Congrtas again!

Thanks honpredictable! I went the other day to Carway. It seems that the passport wait is ranging from 4 to 5 weeks nowadays. Here's hoping and praying that you will receive your passport this week. ;)

Congratulations Tokyo123 :) ;D 8)

May I ask, what was the expiration date on your landing visa, a year after you submitted Meds or some other date?

Thank you and hope you have a great life in your new country! :D
Cam

Hi cam1234, The expiration indicated in the visa is a year after my Meds. Thanks for the good wishes. All the best in your application. ;)

Thanks Raj2rule and alwayspositive! I hope and pray that all of the remaining backlog applications will be completed soon. ;)

Hi Canada star,

The email requesting for MR and RPRF is a standard one sent to everyone so the part about spouse is sent to everyone.

You can add your wife by completing application forms for her as well and paying the required fees. Add her pictures, police certificate etc. She will need to sign the forms. Don't forget to indicate your file number and include a letter of explanation to say you are adding your wife. This is however likely to delay your application. Alternatively you may wait to complete the process and then sponsor her after you have your PR.
Before you even complete the forms, you can send a case specific email to CIC for guidance. The following is an email someone who applied under CEC received when he made such an inquiry:

"If your spouse is NOT a citizen or permanent resident of Canada, he or she must be examined in the context of your application, whether or not he or she will accompany you to Canada. He or she will have to undergo a medical examination. We will send you the appropriate form upon reception of the documents listed below.

In order to add your spouse to your application, we require the following documents:

• processing fee for your spouse (if accompanying you to Canada)
• notarized birth certificate of your spouse
• copy of your spouse's valid passport
• 3 recent photographs of your spouse according to the specifications
• a notarized "no" criminal activity certificate for your spouse
• a completed application kit with all the requirements
• updated IMM0008 Generic and updated IMM5406 "Additional Family Information" form for yourself.
• a "Certificat de Sélection du Québec" for your spouse ( in his or her name), if you wish to immigrate to the province of Québec (http://www.micc.gouv.qc.ca/fr/index.asp). ""

There are more experienced people in this forum who may also chip in suggestions for you.
Hope this helps
Cheers

Hi Tokyo123! I'm thinking of going there too. How far is it from Calgary? I'm hoping to receive it next week. It would be 4 weeks on Subday :(

Carway is about 2 hours and 20 minutes from Calgary. There are two other nearby borders that are about the same time from Calgary. Just check on your GPS.

Friends -

I got my medical request on 29th August. As I had already done my upfront medical on 22nd June, my lawyer reverted back with theproof.

Its almost 50 days and have not got any response from Immigration. I kept telling my lawyer to find out if medicals have been received and uploaded but she did not pay any attention.

She sent couple of case specific inquiries but no response.

Today she found that my medicals have not been updated in the system. she had some contact on Port of Entry ..and its still showing old medical which I did in 2010 for my work permit issuance.

Please guide me.. should I go for medical again.. emedical?

any Good doctors who can take an appointment and send the medical qickly. Dont have much time ..

PLEASE HELP !!!!!1

Run as fast as you can and get emedicals done. I am sure a couple of people have advised you to do so on this forum. Some clinics have also been recommended. Look for Saturday appointments if possible. Good luck!

i'm curious if Ottawa visa office has same day service for ppr. drop off passport and pick up in the afternoon.
I read it somewhere in this forum, one guy got copr on the same day....in US though..
hope Ottawa has that service

You have been advised several times here by many people (including me) many days backs on your options. It appears you really like to come here and re-post same thing over and over. Please go back and read all suggestions you have been given so far - maybe your issues would have long been taken care of.

This was my response when you first posted this issue:

"If they are requesting for medicals again it simply means they didn't receive any medical results or they can't find any on file or it's misplaced. And this is one of the several problems of sending what they have clearly not asked for. Unfortunately, you can't force CIC to respond, which is quite frustrating for anyone.

Now here's what I will do if I were in your shoes:

For the fact that your 60 days deadline is almost due, I will call up a doctor with eMed and arrange for another medical straight away. If possible look for a doctors that will forward your results in a a day or two, not weeks. At least you will cover your back. It's better to go through another medical than keeping asking your lawyer to send e-mails and at the end of the day CIC says you have exhausted your deadline and your application can't proceed.

And one more thing, if after all these while your lawyer can't even get a response for you or resolve your situation, I am just wondering while you are still paying/using him?
