Thanks for pointing it out. Sorry, I applied in May 2010. Correction has been made. :)

Sooooooooo meninblue...You live outside of Canada and are a FSW1? That's great. 8)
You know I was guessing only FSW1 applicants who live inside Canada are being communicated now. I think I'm wrong.

I was in Canada when i applied but left after an year of applying. Now in US.

It is strange how their process varies from case to case. One of my friends applied along with me from Canada and is in US now as well. His file was transferred to NY and he already got his passport stamped from NY and landed last month. I wonder why my case is being processed in CPP Ottawa.

Just send all the requested forms to CIC with a employment offer letter from your previous employer stating that you will be hired on permanent, full time and indeterminate basis after getting PR. This would work in your case. There is no issue in holding a study permit, but try to get the letter of employment for sure. Thanks

BK is right there are tons of people in same situation,,,As i m in too,,,,for some their work permit was expired and then the rule for bridging work permit was introduced,,,,they introduced this thing so that people living in canada with their employer doesnot have to apply for lmo again and again and provides convenience to applicants,,,,,,for some whose work permit is expired as in my case they rejected my open work permit twice.....I dont really know what kind of people they r......they should understand ones position...anyways goodluck to everyone

I think it has to do with the fact that each individual circumstance is different. For some, background checks may be straightforward and done with within a short time, for others it may take forever. Probably a person's NOC, work experience, number of persons on the application etc counts, no one can really tell. We can only hope and pray that our cases are finalised soon.

Dear all members and special members PMM and TERKI

I am very thankful to you guys. I got my CoPR.
May Almighty God help everyone in this forum to get PR very soon.

Thank you once again guys.

Is your friend FSW1? Did she/he apply directly to Ottawa?

Can your put your timeline

no Now ottawa are concentrating on FSW2 or FSW1(with joboffer).

hi feng1212, how can an FSW1 applicant who is working in Canada update his/her status to show that he has a job offer? If it is possible, does it matter if the job offer is in a different NOC from the NOC that he/she used to apply? Thanks

when they applied, they had no job offer, but after applying, they or their spouses got jobs. so Ottawa processed their cases same with FSW2.
