Hi
can anyone please tell me how to order this capis notes or gcms notes, people are talking about. what exactly these notes tell us.
thanks

Today is your lucky day, I'm here to help:

Follow these steps:
Step 1: Open Google.
Step 2: Type "capis notes or gcms notes".
Step 3: Read results.

Hi Edmontonion204,

My timelines are also very similar to yours. I applied in April 2011 and got AOR in April 2011. Since then I heard nothing :(

Did you hear anything from Ottawa? How do we know that if our file is in Mexico city office or somewhere else ?

I got CAIPS notes on 7 April 2013 and according to that, nothing happened to my file since it is in Ottawa. This is taking toooooooo long !!! tired of waiting :(

I am wondering what happened to applicants like me:
applied: June 2010
Medical Done: May 2012
RPRF paid: May 2012

PR: not yet, there is no changes in the e-case. no news, nothing,
Just hope

Many applicants like you are through with their PR.

Most of may 2012 applicatns have seen their ppr / dm come in accordinlgy

june 2013 - should get them all -

pray and patience

Please advise me whether I have to send my passport if I am in Canada already under working visa.

I received a single email requesting to send medical, fees and passport.
It is strange that they requested all at once as I will be without my passport for unpredictable amount of time.

I want to be able to travel while waiting and question whether I need to send my passport as I already have a Working Visa and is able to re-enter.

Can I just send them the copies of all pages (as they mention is possible for those countries where visa is not needed, but it is not my case).

I called CIC, and they insist I have to send them, but they do not really understand there that they issue a one-time visa to enter.

What do I need at the boarder to land?

COPR?

Can I get it by mail without getting a permanent visa, but just re-enter with my current work visa?

Thank you very much for your advice.

I believe they are only requesting the copies of your passport. Normally, they don't ask for original passport with MR and RPRF. They even don't know the processing extent thereafter, so it doesn't make sense to request original passport at this point.

I understand the logic, and I agree that it is not normal that they request my passport right now along with medical and fees, but they requested the following:

"
2) Passports

You must submit a valid passport for yourself and each accompanying family member.
NOTE – Your visa(s) will be valid until 12 months from the date of your medical examination(s) or the expiry date of your passport(s), whichever is earlier.

Citizens from countries who do not require a visa to enter Canada, including Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, St. Kitts and Nevis, must submit photocopies of ALL pages of every passport. They should not submit their original passports. This is due to the fact that no visas need to be placed in their passports.
"

Please advise what I should do in this case.

That's strange that Ottawa is requesting MR and passports at same time, this hasn't been their practice. But maybe this is a new strategy to cut some time so as soon as your medical is approved they can issue your visa without having to request your passport. If your travel is not necessary and can be delayed, I would send in the passport and wait for the completion of your application, and travel after getting visa. Hopefully you'll not have to delay your travel for too long.

I second it.

Dear Johnsap,
would you please let us know your timeline? when did you apply for PR and under what category?

However,
Can please someone explain why I need to send them a passport if I already have a Work Visa.
Why do I need another visa?

I can use my existing visa to re-enter.

Thanks
