Thanks, anyways we all should see something happening coz its been a while nothing good has happened to our files except they all transferred to Ottawa to eat some dust from Ottawa office.

same story for me - file transferred to Mexico for faster processing ... we should not bother them for the next 2 months.
Best expectation is to have a MR in 2 months ....

I got 2 emails, the first one last week and another one yesterday.

Both had more or less the same info...

By the way, I've just started this thread for FSW applications that have been transferred from Ottawa's VO to Mexico.

Please share your timelines! That way we can have an idea of how everything is progressing.

I just received an email that my background check has been started. Does anyone know how long this takes and also how long afterward that they send the medical request?

Thanks!

Hi,
Today I received the following reply from immigration minister's office in reply to my inquiry.
"Our records confirm that your application was received at the Case Processing Pilot-Ottawa (CPP-O) in July 2012, where officers have initiated statutory background checks. Please rest assured that you will be contacted should additional information, documentation or a personal interview be required.

Current statistics based on historical processing data indicate that officers in Ottawa are finalizing 80% of applications in this category in approximately 13 months from the date of receipt of the completed application. Therefore, it appears that this application is proceeding normally with no unexpected or unwarranted delays.

Contact information for the CPP-O can be found at: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/canada/ottawa.asp.

More information on office modernization is available at: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2012/ob425.asp.

Thank you for taking the time to write. I hope that this information is helpful.

Sincerely,"

Is that mean they will finalize my application within 13 months which is August 2013. I ordered my GCMS notes in October 2012 but no background check was initiated at that time. Now they mentioned that officers has already initiated my background check.

Hello everyone,

My application as a Nurse to Canada was received on December 6, 2011. Does anyone resemble my time line? I am currently living and working as a nurse consultant in the US. I am not in a hurry, just wondering if there is a probability of hearing from Ottawa this year considering the date of receipt of my file.

Thanks.
