Hi,

I received two emails from Ottawa today. Unfortunately no ppr, but they asked me to redo medical exams and pay the Right of Permanent Residence Fee. It also said "This is in reference to your application for a permanent resident visa, which has been found eligible in the Class for which it was submitted. Admissibility review (security, criminality and/or medical) is still ongoing; you will be contacted if additional information is required for that purpose."

My timeline:
-Received CSQ in March 2011
-Applied for PR on 9 May 2011
-AOR and Request to do medicals Oct. 24, 2011
-medical passed since November 11, 2011

lucky you, at least it's moving. That makes me crazy, are they really going to re-ask the full police background ? that's totally crazy, i have every little steps on time collecting each papers from every country, and now they are going for another round because some offices have been closed ?

just tell me this is not true

Seems like Ottawa is just asking docs. No PPR's :(. They asked me for FBI too.
Anyways, anyone been lucky. Any PPRs??

Yeah..this tactic is to shut all the applicants. I guess every one should be ready with these certificates...

That is a positive sign and congratulations.

This is what I know about my application so far (Most of which where actually started in Buffalo):

- file transferred from Buffalo to Ottawa July 6, 2012
- Client eligibility has yet to be initiated
- RCMP criminality is now in process
- Security from outside of Canada is complete
- Ottawa anticipates completion of the file within 12 months

What is the source of this info? I think that first step should be the client eligibility. Without that the file doesn't go to IN PROCESS, but doesn't seems so in your case.

I guess they just buying time to finish your file. mine is same timeline as yours and I missed my medical in Nov2011 and did it in Nov 2012 and paid the fees.
they have nothing for me to ask except police certificate again.....I have not got any updates from them so far....

I am assuming they may send me a similar mail to send police certificate again....and they will ask you the same again..

bottom line is they are not going to finish by Feb end..they just trying to buy time by sending some mails requesting documents....

at least some thing is better than nothing...

HI Guys
just now I received two email from Ottawa to submit
1. personal history from 2011
2. update passport ( I sent this twice so far once by e-mail and another one by fax )

I got the same standard email...

Dear HAYAT ALISHA SYED:

This refers to your application for Permanent Residence in Canada. Your file has been transferred to the Case Processing Pilot in Ottawa for further review. It will be reviewed by one of our officers, with priority given to applications that were received at CIC before September 1st, 2011.

Case Status:

In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following documents:
· Updated details of your personal history since May 2011. Start with the most recent information, indicate your occupation or job title if you were working. If you were not working, provide information on what you were doing (ie. Unemployed, studying, traveling, etc). Please include city/town or country and the name of the institution/company.

With the exception of Police Certificates, please submit the requested documents as scanned attachments and send to the following e-mail address: ottpilot-immigration@cic.gc.ca

-----------------------------------------------------------------

can some one confirm for updating personal history is there any form available?
and I guess they are not requesting for Police certificate as they say exception.

I visited Indian for one month..do I have to inform that in the history ??

Let me know if you have answers..

regards
Syed

Hi Com2canada, You say you got this from CIC....did you call them up or was this an email sent from Ottawa? or was this through CAIPS?

Please let me know because i'd definately like to get this info for my application. Thanks in advance mate.

Hi syed_h_sha,

Yes, there's a form IMM5669E but if you want you can send them even on word file or simply writing in your email with this format

From
YM

To
YM

Activity

City or town
and Country

Name of company,
employer,school, facility, as
applicable

in a table format, they did ask me a month ago, make sure not to leave any gap between your personal history, you need to tell them if you visit India, don't hide it, this is not a negative thing, just fill up the spaces and you'll be good to go.

I'm still waiting for my turn MR :(

Best of luck and keep posted.

Thanks,
Nadeem

You guys are all so lucky!! Take any email from Ottawa as a good sign - even if it isn't a med or PPR request and is only asking for an updated police certificate or job info. I applied April 2011 (FSW1) and haven't heard a thing since June 2011 when my status went RBVO. I'd love to get ANY request right now from CIC! You shouldn't be complaining because quite a few of us are not as fortunate yet.

I used a combination of all of them.
