Hi fellas,
I received my CAIPS notes,
it shows they received and cashed my RPRF. Also, my medical results were assessed as M01 on 07 June 2012.
It BF'D to A39 on 01-08-2012, but the last entry on the file is 07 June 2012. Nothing after that.
THERE IS NOTHING AT ALL ABOUT OTTAWA!!!.
I am truly new to this s..t, could you guys advise me what should I look for through this mess?!
thanks

On the first page in the 5th or 6th line should be written Primary Office and Secondary Office. and, further down have a look on page 2, "Assessments" to what have you passed already, and "Application Assignment" to give a Due date, when your file will be opened up again, at least an approximate date, this date can also have been "overdue"... still....difficult to say what's going to happen next, and when.

I have been following this thread so one update from me. I received my PPR finally.

it took almost 2 and 1/2 year to reach at this point.

Dear all, I am a Libyan National, I spent 6 years in Canada for study (2004-2010), I got MSc from Canada in 2007. I applied for PR on Feb 26 2008 at Buffalo from inside Canada, CIC started processing my application on May 29 2008. In March 2008 I was blessed by the birth of a child who was born in Canada. In May 2010, I moved out of Canada. It took CIC almost three years to finish the background check; due to some family issues, I got a divorce. In Sep 2011, CIC asked my to send them a copy of the birth certificate of my son and a copy of the divorce statement. At that time the divorce statement was not issued yet. Due to the trouble in Libya, it took the court a long time to finish the divorce case. However, on Feb 15 2012, I sent Buffalo an official letter from the court showing that I have a divorce case on progress, and Buffalo visa office confirmed the reception of this letter.
I got the divorce statement on June 29 2012 and I emailed it to Buffalo on July 1st 2012. To my surprise, I discovered that Buffalo office is closed and that the Canadian government decided to eliminate the applications filed before 27 2 2008. I am not sure whether my application will be closed or not. I am very anxious and disappointed; Please, if you have any information regarding this issue, let me know.
Thank you very much in advance for your help.
your sincere: Bagi.

Hi Guys,

I was in MP office yesterday. They told me that it looks like FSW applications taking longer time because Ottawa office has their own things to process besides permanent residence applications. And... it looks like they are STILL unpacking boxes that were shipped from Buffalo (So... July, August, September, October,...) that is why they (assistants at MP office responsible for immigration cases) believe that all application that were sent in 2011 (maybe second part of 2010 too) were not even unpacked, and that is why it is difficult for Ottawa office or MP or anyone else to tell how soon it will take to process it.

Anyone willing to volunteer to help with moving/unpacking? :D I guess if all of us will come to Ottawa office to help for a week, we will speed up the process one year ahead. Just kidding :(

I think the file I got is quite different than what you describe. mine is very similar to this http://www.caipsnotes.com/Caips_Sample/Pages.shtml
The only visa office name is "BUFFALO" in front of "XREF2".
There is no application assignment. it is only BF'd to 01-08-2012 which is already passed.

Interesting...haven't seen one of those yet... i also ordered my gcms notes from there, but mine looks like the GCMS sample you can find on their website somewhere else. normally the GCMS notes have replaced the one you have....

as much as I know XREF2 means "CrossReferenceTo"...like if you're married and you have a sponsoring app at the same time or similar...but if yours are different..then it possibly also means something different...

The BF/d or due Date can have passed already, seen this a lot...even in my case.... but it also does not seem to have much of an effect..as we can see... sry mate, impossible to say what exactly is going on... :( I don't want to say anything else, (possibilities) don't want to make you more sad/frustrated as you possibly already are...

I received PPR from Ottawa.

I applied in June 2010 and started processing in April 2012 by VO and PPR in Oct 2012.
