Hi Everyone,

So my MP's office got back to me today regarding my application. So they have promised that my case will be finalized no later then December 2013. It could be before but the lastest would be at the end of this year. This wasn't what i wanted to hear to be honest. but lets hope it gets finalized sooner.

It took 6 days. They said it usually takes up to a week.

Hey Tej2013,

Have you get finger print request or updated personal history?

These days personal history form request is the biggest clue for your application to the final steps (most of the people who got updated personal history have got Medical Request in a month or so.

I got personal history updated form in 15-jan-2013 and got Medical Request at 22-Feb-2013... waiting to get updated the ecas status.

I just changed my address on the online portal, so hopefully this sparks things to move faster?

Hey joec19,

This is the form which is requested by VO for most of the applicants whose files are processed in Ottawa normally.

I would not suggest to update your address from ecas, you need to contact to your visa office for this, I know I got an email from Buffalo in 2012 that don't update it as it would not reflect on your GCMS notes.

Try sharing your time or update your profile.

i just checked the statuse online it says it is in process..
How long does it take( i applied within canada)?
what are the steps in process status? it looks like it passed the intial state in sydney and now it is processing in ottawa.

Hey Nadeem,

No i haven't been requested for anything yet. When was your Work permit expiring? i'm thinking priority is given to applicant's whose work permits are coming to an end soon. Mine is still valid until June 2014.
