Hi hamidrezazadeh, hamidrezazadeh said:My tracker has been activated few hours ago.
Expect it any time. Normally RPRF comes together with MR or the MR comes about a day after RPRF. In your case, I'm not sure why it has delayed this much (based on your timeline). Just curious-check your emails around the time you received MR to make sure nothing was overlooked. Let's see what others say!aashay12 said:On the forum after a month, still no response as of yet.
medicals were sent on 1st week of november, got a request for Illinois state police clearance
which was sent twoweeks ago. Any idea how long it will take to receive RPF....
Any response will be appreciated, thanks, i hope you guys get it asap.

Hi Alwayspositive,alwayspositive said:Thanks July and p_sreenath.
I read that thread and especially made note of this: If everything is simple & straight, the file soon gets into the 'final review' stage. If there are any 'red flags', our case goes into a 'spin' I'm assuming final review stage means everything is clear and the file will not go into a 'spin'. The previous update I received prior to this one indicated that background and criminality checks were underway, so hopefully this new update means it is done. It has been a really long journey.
Received update around Dec 17th that it was undergoing background and criminality check, and another update a few days ago that it was in the process of being "forwarded to the attention of an officer for final review". Sent them an email about three weeks ago and contacted MP after a week when we hadn't heard from them to assist with follow up. MP's feedback was the update we received around the 17th and the second response from CIC was to the email we sent. Delay costs a lot of money in work/student/visa renewals and makes one lose job opportunities reserved for permanent residents and citizens. we are often skeptical about sending emails since we believe it might irritate them so this is the first time we have contacted an MP to do a follow up. Our previous emails have always been to follow up to find out whether they received a document we sent. This is our first update request.akamboj said:Hi Alwayspositive,
When did you receive your previous update about Background and Criminality check?
Because my file is also at same stage. I emailed them a month ago in last week of November and got reply from them that its under background check. Its been a long wait. 36th month has already started.... lol
And after how long do you email them for follow up?
Well we are in same boat. If PR doesnt comes in-time... I wll end up loosing a Nice Job Opportunity...alwayspositive said:Received update around Dec 17th that it was undergoing background and criminality check, and another update a few days ago that it was in the process of being "forwarded to the attention of an officer for final review". Well... one has to just continue praying and remaining positive
In our case I think so, because we got to know exactly what was causing the delay because they gave him more details and not just the standard reply. He was told it was because of having schooled/lived in a number of countries not just a single country which means checks have to be done in each of those countries which causes further delays.akamboj said:Well we are in same boat. Fingers Crossed......
Is it a good idea to involve MP for followup or feedback?
