Buffalo to Ottawa Transferred Cases(FSW) - Pls join here

Your case is definitely an example of how everyone's application is different. For most of us, our ECAS status was stuck in RBVO until we received med requests, and didn't change in the ECAS status line until after our PPR. For me, my status only just changed from RBVO to 'Decision Made' last week but I never had 'In Process' or 'Processing' in my ECAS at any point. And some people received med request, RPRF and PPR all at the same time! It's definitely a guessing game.

I guess it probably depends on the style of the visa officer. In my own case, my ecas changed to "we started processing your application on xx" before I got MR, RPRF amd updated document request

Hello everyone! I need some help and guidance from you experts here on this board.

My family (my wife as primary applicant) had submitted our application to Buffalo office under 2011 FSW. We are residing in the US on non-immigrant visa. We just heard from CIC that the initial assessment has been completed and they expect to finalize our application without a personal interview. They have asked us to submit updated IMM0008, IMM5406 and IMM5669, in addition to RPRF, PCC, FBI Clearance, Proof of Settlement Funds and Letter of Employment from current employer for the primary applicant. We have had no communication with CIC since we submitted the application and received an acknowledgement with application number.

We have a few questions as we prepare to respond to their request. Would really appreciate if you can please advise.

1. We have moved to another City within the US since our original CIC application in 2011. How do we handle that?

2. Since the original application was submitted, we now have an additional family member in the family, our 1-yr old son, that will need to be added to this application. How do we handle that?

3. My wife is the primary applicant. They have asked for Letter of employment from her current employer. The issue is, my wife changed her employer (same field and job function) some time after submitting this application. She worked at that new employer until the end of 2012. She is no longer working as she is looking after our kids. She does plan to get back in the work force some time in 2014.
- How do we address CIC's request for Letter of employment from current employer as she is no longer working?
- Also, how do we handle the change in her employer during this period?
- Will this be a problem?

4. How do we get Police clearance certificate (PCC) from India? Do we need to go to India to get this?

5. Further, they have requested certified true copies of the documents. Does anyone know how we can these scanned copies certified?

6. PCC has to be submitted in original to CPP-Ottawa. Does it have to be mailed directly by the issuing authority or can we mail it too?

7. They have given us 30 days to respond to their request. Not sure if we can gather and submit all the requested documents in that time, especially FBI clearance and PCC. How do we address that?

Congrats on the progress on your application

Moving isn't an issue, you will just update your address with CIC. However, your son you'll need to add to your application and pay the appropriate fees. Also note that your POF will have to reflect the change in the # of family members. This is for changing address http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/change-address.asp
Contact Ottawa directly to inform them of your son. Inform them that your wife isn't working right now, this won't be a problem in my opinion, maybe a more senior member could respond to this. With regards to PCC maybe another member can help you, possibly you could get it from the Indian Embassy here in USA. You mail the PCC to Ottawa once received. You won't receive the FBI check back in 30 days, but just inform them that you have applied for it and are waiting for it. I'm sure they are aware of long wait for FBI check.

It appears those who were transferred to Port of Spain got medical and passport requests lumped together.

I just got an email from Ottawa regarding the medical and RPRF. It seems like wait is about to come to an end.

Medical and RPRF request- 20 Nov 2013

Hi, I am new here. I got my CoPR yesterday. I am in canada on study permit but I do have a job offer. But on my CoPR, in the category, SW1 is written. I have some questions: 1. PoF: How much money do I need to show? If my parents transfer some money into my account, how do I tell immigration that my parents have sent the money to me?

2. as on my CoPR, it says SW1, do I still need to get a latest employment letter?

Have you applied for GCMS recently?
Ehsan got his PPR pretty fast after his medical exams, almost a month later!
I did my medical late October and am waiting to get PPR.
Don't know how long it would take, though. I have seen people getting PPR within 2 months from medical exams, but there are cases like you, who are still waiting to get PPR.
It's just a matter of time and we would finally get it.
