Actually I got ppr after a month of sending my revised pcc. And that stage I had already paid rprf and my updated history form.

They did not ask me for PCC. Relax, every step takes them months, or at least 3-4 weeks.

It is really appalling...perhaps the minuses are dished out by some people who want only their voice to be heard. Please keep on helping others... don't get discouraged.

I just saw the above in my ppr request e-mail. I am laughing so hard and wondering why it takes weeks to get ppr back. Well waiting for passports should be a piece of cake considering all the CIC drama of nearly 3 years.

Did you get the emails (the ones containing the forms, and the one asking for docs) at the same time?
I've received the email requesting the docs, but I didn't receive the forms yet. :-\

Yes. I got 5 emails at the same time. 3 emails were for 3 medical forms for me, my spouse and daughter. One email was for asking documents. And the other email was a reply of my previous email.

Dear All,

I have a slight issue. I have got the medical request and the forms now, but my wife's passport was due to expire by the end of the year and hence she recently submitted it for renewal (aaarrrrrrgghhhh!).

Now, for the medicals its mentioned that you need the passport or the national identity card and she does not have it. Is any other identification accepted such as a driver's license by the doctors doing the medical test ?

I had the similar situation, they asked for medicals and my POlice clearance. I applied it an my country's embassy with my passport and did the medicals with my drivers license. They were even ready to accept nothing but passport copy and this is a cic doctor as long as u have the forms and national government ID u should be fine. Just call the clinic ahead and show them the proof that ur wife applied for passport renewal

I did my medicals on Aug.06 and sent my PCC on Aug.24 which reached them on Aug29th. Status says medicals have been received - updated on Sept.06th I believe. Haven t gotten PPR yet. keep me posted and good luck :-*

We have similar timelines. I applied 9/2010, received Med request 7/13, did them 8/13. Ecas says med received. 9/13 received additional doc request, which they received two days ago...

Here is the problem, "If you are not prepared to live permanently in Canada immediately after your permanent residence is granted..." for crying out loud, we have waited 3 years, at times I had given up completely. Now I have a job and projects I am working on, my children are in school... to request that we drop everything immediately and run to Canada is unbelievable to me. I seriously hope they give us a reasonable time, 6 months or more, to get our affairs in order.

Thank alot Melisa ,, Today will be my 4 weeks of submitting PCC and I have submitted my forms and everything else in August...hope this wait gets over for me too.....
