Thanks a lot Rossei. I was able to open the document from the new link. Since I am in Canada I guess it has to be payable to "Receiver General for Canada".

One more question. In the inital stage, do we have to pay just the $550 per person or do we also need to include the "Right of Permanant Resident Fee" of $490.

Thanks again for your help!

For me the whole process From application to PPR was 12 Months

I drove to Buffalo this morning, had immigration visa on both my wife's and my passports and also landed officially while coming back to Canada. My timeline is shared both in my Forum Profile Info (on left) and my Signature (below).

Wow...great.

How you planning to send back your wife's passport?

Hello Rossei, were you able to ask the guys about the process?

Congrats! Glad that you become PR and your family will come to join you as PRs, too.

Hello all.

Look like you guys get processing faster than mine. I applied since Oct 28, 2010. Got Medical request on May 22, 2011 and Done Medical on June 8, 2011 and right now still nothing. I check regularly status but nothing change "Application received on Oct 28, 2010". So frustrated to wait. I'm from Vietnam, ^^!!!

I submitted everything to the receptionist (who acted rude to everyone at time of receiving) as every other visa applicant did. After 3 hours of sitting idly, I was called upon by the same receptionist and given CPR and Passports back with Visa. I was randomly mentioning that it was really quick for me after medical and she said that she is not an officer and doesn't know the process. I thanked her (this time she smiled and congratulated me :o) and quickly got out as I was sick from last night (cold and fever).

I'm sorry that I couldn't get any explanation.

Sorry, I overlooked your post before and couldn't answer earlier. You can either choose to pay the whole amount ($550 + $490) or just pay $550. If you don't pay RPRF initially, you will be asked to pay it at final stage. For me, Buffalo requested for RPRF and Passport in the same email. Today, I went to Buffalo to have my immigration visa on my Passport and also paid my RPRF (as requested).

Hi Guys,

What email address did your AOR & Medical come from? I got mine from ottpilot-immigration@cic.gc.ca. Nothing came from Buffalo.

Very confused

I think they will have same timeframe and procedure so no worries. The more offices working on PR files, the faster we would get VISA. It's good thing that they open Ottawa branch, though as pilot, but that would definitely help reduce processing time as more resources have been in place.
Recent trend shows that Buffalo finalize some cases within 7-8 mths, issue AOR and MR within 4-5 mths.

Yeah in the email it appears I am in the pilot process. Hope it speeds up my app a bit

Did you get the email from Ottawa as well?
